I was thinking live action. I don’t know if I’ve seen this. You vouch for it’s worthiness? I may have to watch it. :)

It may have been 9+ hours and another 9 of bonus material. I saw the first two movies and as I recall what sent me over the edge, was the over the top escape in the barrels sequence. And this was after the Frodo fights the bad guys at the end of the first movie. Completely tone deaf to the original story.

I like The Hobbit(1977). I watch it every now-n-then. For me it's got heaps of nostalgic value. (I wasn't a fan of the subsequent Lord of the Rings animated movie tho, the techniques used for the animation(rotoscoping and splicing in live action stuff maybe) was too messy).

Maybe, hopefully the Hans Solo movie will be a fluke too. :)

Did either of you @kazmac, @twietee enjoy the Guardians of the Galaxy vol 1 movie? My feelings won’t be hurt if you did not. :)

Apologies Huntn, disliked GoTG and only Kurt Russell and Michael Rooker made GotG vol. 2 even remotely watchable for me. I have come around to Thor Ragnarok though, especially for Thor's arc (and his growth as a character, even if he still isn't the sharpest axe in the weapons room - which is a nice nod to his mythological self.)

Saw Infinity War again yesterday for two favorite characters (and I will probably go again because of their moments.)
It is so dang awesome to see Doctor Strange closer to how he was written in the comics and performing some of his classic spells too.
I still prefer Civil War as a character focused team movie, though I have to say Team Stark and Team Thor are awesome.

And Thor
made Rocket and Groot slightly more bearable. Quill is still a major ******. But Peter Dinklage makes Thor's later moments with Rocket and Groot, much, much better. I've always liked Peter, but this was a very clever way to make use of a stereotypical employ for a dwarf - I mean how cool is a dwarf giant living near a dying neutron star?

I loved the original Thor, disliked The Darkworld, turned off, subsequently have not seen Ragnarok. Maybe I should give the latter a chance.

Ragnarok has a completely different tone, so even though bad things happen, it is a ridiculous amount of fun. The action is on point too. And Thor's
power up is sooooooo cool. Again, something I've been wanting to see in the movies since 2011. Plus, Doctor Strange cameo (in which Stephen is moving ever closer to his classic comic book self).
I hope Marvel bucks the system and greenlights another Thor movie, because I'd love to see Chris and Taika do more with this current Thor.

Yes, Ragnarök was legit awesome.

Yeah, even though there are serious consequences, it's overall a ton of fun, more in the vein of Iron Man 1 or GotG 1 & 2.

In the top 5 best scenes of any MCU movie!

High Fidelity

Been awhile since I watched this. Good flick (except for the lead actress).

Saw Infinity War today. Overall, I liked it, but I wasn't necessarily prepared for how it all went down.

Just finished watching two (6 and 7) Fast & Furious -movies back to back.

Quite possibly the most ridiculous ~4 hours I've spent in a long while, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't, at the same time, one of the most entertaining movie watching experiences in a while. The testosterone practically seeped through the TV, and as a result I think I now need to cut my chest hair with a hedge trimmer.

Just mindless, entertaining action best enjoyed with a few ice cold Coronas. The seventh one did have a more serious undertone, though, on account of the unfortunate passing of Paul Walker. The send-off they gave him / his character was a good one.

... or maybe a Mary Jane. :)

The Pledge (2001) ... excellent ... 9/10

The Mountain Between Us (2017) ... 7/10

It was entertaining, with good acting and spectacular scenery, though fairly predictable ... man and woman stranded in the wilderness, fall in love, etc (and so was the ending).

I want to see that one...

This was Visually stunning and intellectually confounding and aggravating.
The story line was absolute sh.i.t and so was the writing.

I’ve traditionally had issues with Batman movies, they are all too dark. The ones by Tim Burton were the worst. Of the bunch, I consider The Dark Knight to be the best and incredible. Did it kill Heath Ledger?

Thor Ragnarok to me, is a great movie! I loved it and it is a really fun movie to watch. Like others have mentioned, seeing Thor light up is freaking great! Something I too have been waiting to see!

Yes, I’m going to watch it. I might even give the The Dark World a second chance. :)

Have you seen number 8 yet? Hard to imagine, but it gets even more ridiculous. The next one might take place in outer space.
