I haven't seen it in years. But it is a classic war movie. They don't make them like that anymore!
I don't remember if I've ever seen it. I can name a few WWII films I never liked, two that come immediately to mind are The Dirty Dozen and Von Ryan's Express. Where Eagles Dare is a bit iffy, too.

Few modern films are good. The last two I remember watching were Fury, which wasn't very good, and The Monuments Men. That film was beneath Dujardin, who probably picked it up on account of it being an easy paycheck post divorce.

Priest. I recalled seeing ads for this, and decided to put it on my list. I was expecting decent action and fight scenes, with dialog that makes no sense and almost no plot. I wasn't disappointed.

The Incredibles 2. This was a gift for my family, I had previously seen it on a flight. Well worth the time and money.

This Is Spinal Tap. Okay, so this really isn't a very good movie. I love it.

Why do you say that this isn't a very good movie? This Is Spinal Tap has been a beloved movie for decades and was critically acclaimed. You certainly have no reason to be embarrassed for liking it. :)

Watching Venom right now. It’s not that good.

The reviews of Holmes and Watson are brutal. One said something like it’s so unfunny it can’t legally be called a comedy.

Logan’s Run (1976)- Good story, but the robot dates the movie. The Fountain at the end of this movie is located in Ft.Worth, Texas. I can think of two other movies with related themes- Soylent Green, were people become a
food source
and The Island which emulated the “run” part.

The Illusionist (2006.)
One of my all time favorites.

Is there anyone on the planet who doesn't know the secret?
Is anyone seriously worried about spoiling a 42 year old film?
Of course there are. Younger people are on this site, why would you be the type of person who would recommend a classic film to someone while at the same time ruining the ending. It certainly is not nearly as well known as say the planet of the apes ending.

I still love the Last Day Carousel > that wasn’t in the Logan’s Run novel and it felt like it was. It’s horrific and cool at the same time.

That’s the only movie-centric element I hope a remake embraces.

“Soylent Green is
peeepppulll!”
:p Apparently, after Planet of the Apes, it must have been mandatory for Charlton Heston to exclaim/explain the zinger in SF movies.

For a while it seemed like Heston got type cast for SciFi roles. Planet of the Apes, Soylent Green, Omega Man. PotA was my favorite preferring it over the Tim Burton remake which was also a quality film.

I can recall being scared of the gorillas as a young child from the original films. Now when I see the I wonder why!

Because! :p

When I was 15 years old (1968), a friend’s Mom offered to take us to movies to see something that was playing. The choices were, Planet of the Apes or Gone with the Wind. You know which one we chose. :D Almost a decade later I watched GWTW and really enjoyed it too! :)
