The Punisher did not exceed my violence tolerance limit. My wife and I could only watch the first episode of The Punisher on Netflix for the same reason. After watching it, we decided to move on to something else.

Wife and I are starting this now based on your post.Close (2019 Netflix)- Noomi Rapace plays a bad ass body guard hired to escort a rich heiress. Thumbs up, although I found the end to be a bit muddled, regarding whom the bad guys really were. It was hard to keep track without a second viewing, and they kind of mislead you.
I’d post the trailer, but imo, it’s a spoiler.
Nightcrawler(2014)
I can’t believe I hadn’t heard about this movie before I saw your post. Great movie. One word description of Jake’s performance ... creepy. Love the style and color; very cyber-punk(i think?). It totally reminded me of Taxi Driver(1976). Cheers for the recommendation!

I agree with this assessment, it’s good, with mostly believable and for myself, impressive fight scenes, but not enough to lure itself into my library.Glad you liked it! And yes, Gyllenhaal really does a stellar job with the character of Lou. I'm no expert, but I'd wager a guess that it's a pretty accurate interpretation of real life.sociopathy
I just finished this one. I also think Noomi Rapace did a great job, but other than that I had a hard time getting "in" to the film. But the action scenes were good, and the actors did a good enough job so it was an entertaining 90ish minutes even with it's flaws. The song over the end credits, Candy Says - Beautiful Feeling is great. Need to look more into their music.

For Close? I just called it a spoiler because of the beginning sequence, but now that I think about it may have been shown in the promo, when the movie is pulled up for viewing.Close was def a good watch for a lazy Netflix day. Thanks for the recommendation. What twist did they give away in the trailer (use spoiler tags of course).
I am currently watching John Wick.
Rewatched Moon(2009). Possibly my favorite sci-fi of “recent” years.

That is a pretty good movie.
Yup, all good. I also liked Source Code. Looking forward to Duncan’s 2000 A.D. turn with Rogue Trooper.Watch Mute with Paul Rudd. Same director, same universe.
Its great but its not a movie.Russian Doll on Netflix.

yeah things get crossed over here and there.True - but others were talking about episodes of The Punisher..so... lol
I watched a Glass trailer and it did not pull me at all. Now maybe I’ll change my mind when I eventually stream this.Glass (2018).
I liked it! Even the so-much criticized ending wasn't that bad (esp. considering the director...)
