Ford v Ferrari 3/5

Not that good? Mediocre?I totally forgot about this one, I’ll put it on my watch-que List for now. I have a full library that I actually use Apple notes to make a list of movies that I plan on watching/re-watching, and two of my favorite actors, both being Bale/Damon.

Wait, two that are both ... so there's four of them :D

This movie is a solid piece of film, expertly directed/acted/written (even with the historical liberties), but you have to be into the subject matter (cars, racing, Shelby, etc.), for a some who's not, 3/5 makes sense, for someone who is, it's definitely a 4/5 :)

I love motorsport. F1, Le Mans, Indycar, NASCAR, MOTO GP.

I found it hoaky.

I thought it was fun, but it's a bit Hollywood-y, I thought it worked with the subject matter (that's sort of intrinsically melodramatic) , Plus I've followed Carroll Shelby for years, kind of into his story/history.

I think the difference in your 3/5 and my 4/5 are probably less than 1 ... if that makes sense

It does.

I love the GT40.

Interesting story though. And they didn't completely hoak it up so that was cool.

The Matrix (1999). This movie really ages like wine.

I tried, I really did (...As in watched many times), but I couldn’t stand any of the Matrix movies. The first one I admit was actually unique in the sense of a storyline that we haven’t seen before during that time frame of the early 2000 era, plus with all the CGI, it was touted as being one of the most advanced movies, and even to this day there’s parodies/discussion made about the Matrix and how it transformed the film industry.

Now...come at me bro...😁 [I just had to say that, as I’ve never said that anyone in person, and I thought if it was online, youre the one member that would probably understand given my twisted satire.]

This is completely puzzling. I remember my son begged me to see this with him, and at first, it’s a little disorienting, such as why can that person run up a wall?? Why did that person dissolve into a phone? But soon, very soon it becomes crystal clear.

And of note, my wife hates this movie too, but she has never liked any virtual reality, AI stories and is not a fan of time travel either. They just are not her cup of tea.

So, would you classify yourself in the same way, or is it just this particular movie you did not like? Anything you can identify? I suppose if you were Neo, you’d take the blue pill. :D

OK, in the most recent episode of "Better Call Saul", Saul Goodman really does something VERY, VERY sleazy! And was Kim ever blind sided by it. Probably the best episode this season, so far.

The last episode of season 2 of "Project Blue Book" was on last night, and it certainly ends in a cliff hanger! Hopefully there will be a Season 3, but nothing official yet.

Have 2 more episodes of Season 2 of Killing Eve to watch. Then, of course, season 3 of "Ozark" will be on Netflix this Friday. Good stuff!

Yeah, Clint is the man! Besides that one from Dirty Harry, there is of course the infamous scene from Sudden Impact:

And for something more recent:

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Pts 1&2 (2010, 2011)- What an end! A memorable and worthy climax. My critique is that turning this into 2 movies, resulted in Part 1 having filler time in it, too much camping out IMO.

We know that:
  • Part of Voldemort lived in Harry.
  • That Voldemort’s Killing Spell just succeeded in killing the part of him that lived in Harry, basically Harry was the unintended Horcrux. The spell knocked him into limbo a train station where he had a conversation with Dumbledore, and that he could decide to go back or continue on.
  • Neville Longbottom is the man! The sword of Griffindor he wielded was perfectly capable of killing Nagini, the last Horcrux, the last of Voldemort’s splintered soul.

The Fifth Element (1997)- A decent Luc Besson (Director) film about 5 elements required to save the Earth from an alien sphere. My favorite film of his is Lucy. His biggest bust was that Valarian movie, I think. (It was at least for me.) It looks like Lucy 2 might be in the planning stages, but links to it are dated.

Well, we know Huntn has been secluded/locked in his house watching nothing but Harry Potter films and the Fifth element for the past five days.😁 Just make sure to get plenty of sleep in between these films, as that’s part of sustaining immunity. 😁

It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost 20 years since the first HP movie was released. It seemed like a good time to hit the series, and yes, getting plenty of sleep. And walked 3 miles the other day on the local green trails. :)
