Those who wish me Dead [2021]

I love writing about movies, and I tend to be very descriptive with the directing style, how good the actors were, what could’ve been different, etc. But this movie was so bad, I turned it off into the first hour. This is probably the third time I’ve ever turned a movie off, but the acting was atrocious, and the script writing so cliché that’s been duplicated 100 times over with ‘bad guys chasing somebody that has critical information….’

I also never thought Angelina Jolie was a very good actress, kind of subpar at best, which didn’t help this film either.

@Queen6

[I won’t post the movie poster, it’s a bit too graphic.] But I watched a good horror film that I think you might like. The movie is called ‘Clown’, directed by Eli Roth (He’s behind ‘Cabin Fever’ & ‘Hostel’)

Actually this was a decent film, and it’s about a man that dresses up like a clown for his sons birthday, (which he finds a clown costume in an abandoned house that he’s selling), and once you put on the costume, it slowly starts to become part of you and ultimately you become the clown who has a lengthy history of terrorizing children.

I’d bet you’d like this one if you get a chance to watch it.

The Healer - 2016

Just watched this again on Prime - I think the first time I watched it was on Netflix

I really enjoyed it both times - but maybe I am biased - since it was filmed in Mahone Bay and my mother lived there for 10 years - beautiful area - great memories - everyscene had me trying to guess where it was - except for the church - it is at the end of Mahone Bay

I live in Greenwich Village in NYC and there is almost always a film crew taking up space in the neighborhood. They like to make my street a staging area. Mostly interiors, apparently, since I rarely see cameras on the street.

Dispell all notions you have of DC universe films, and the PTSD from how bad the first one was.

This movie absolutely RULED start to finish. It is vulgar, and violent, but it has a heart, and so many genuinely funny scenes. Beautiful cinematography, great soundtrack.

Most of all it has a "vibe" that is hard to articulate, but everyone on screen seems to be having a great time, and it draws you in.

This vibe, and soul is exactly what has been missing from the disjointed Zach Snyder films.

Huge statement from James Gunn to come over for one movie, and come out with the best film in the DC catalog since the Christopher Nolan Batman movies.

Must watch.

Free on HBO Max through September.

Prometheus (2012)- again. Beautiful cinematography, some answers provided in this Alien Cinematic Universe prequel featuring another suspect Android. Just remember they just do what they are programmed to… mostly. ;) Hard to believe this movie is already almost a decade past.

  • Take off your helmets, really? It’s an alien planet. 😷
  • How did they get lost? The place is mapped.
  • Oh, such a cute little alien worm. One of the most single stupid events in any horror movie. :D
  • A C-section you don’t want to remember.

Wow, 91% Critic, 84% Audience rating at RT. 👀 It must be watched. For the purpose of streaming, with teenagers <18 in attendance is there nudity or sex?

Agreed on all counts. I loved it and I am far from being a superhero fan. By far one of the best action/superhero movies I've seen in the past few years.

Who's Milton??? :p
