Under a blazing South Pacific sun no less. But they say it was worse inside the ship.
It was like being in a oven one deck down but I thought they would have had some sort of cooling system going when active back then???

That's the sort of detail you don't get while sitting in a comfy chair in a theatre and sipping ya chai latte .

This movie was good. I remember watching it and the one scene in particular, with one of the characters being taken out in a rather shocking way. Always stuck with me, more so than the movie as a whole.

Watched "Ready Player One" again this weekend and man what a ride. Really dig this movie and it didn't disappoint. Makes me want to read the book now!

I think the scene that got me (in children of men) was when the govt forces and the rebels were going full out against one another, then gradually they stop fighting ..and all is quiet. Then someone fires and it's all on again.

In the past 3 days I have watched:

Christmas Vacation (x2)
Vegas Vacation
Die Hard
Elf
Jingle All the Way
Santa Claus
Bad Santa (x2)

Try as I may, I am still not in the Christmas Spirit. And, all of these are good.
..maybe 'Bad Santa' will work for ya then?!

Moonfall (2022).

What the flying f- did I watch? What in the world were they thinking? First half is bad sci-fi. Second half? They threw everything they had and their kitchen sink to the script. It doesn’t make sense. I have no words to describe this movie; it’s so bad and over the top I couldn’t stop watching it.

Wow.

Weren't there people having sex on stage as well... ?
They didn't show any of that.
I think Woodstock 99 showed how not to have a concert...it seemed more about exploitation than music...and some of the music seemed to be about destruction..so that's wot they got.

I guess if you take water bottles from people at the entry gate, then charge them $4 a bottle once inside it's a bad start right from the word go.

Tonight's TV Movie:
Lara Croft - Tomb Raider

I haven't seen that.
Old Movie buddy's joke:
Read the book, seen the movie, wear the t-shirt, played the game, got the doll.

..I should have said, "Get a life.."

Watched No Time To Die last night. Long movie but a pretty good send off for Daniel Craig as Bond.

Any ideas on who the next Bond will be?

Watching Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” is like listening to your favorite band on their final tour: All killer, no filler (OK, maybe a little), the greatest hits mixed with new stuff that reminds you why they’re awesome in the first place, and a desire for the last song to never end.

Writer/director James Gunn's last mission in the superhero galaxy that made him famous – before he flies off to make the next Superman movie and honchos the DC universe – is a hilarious, heartbreaking, touching and rather wonderful close to an enjoyable trilogy. Gunn’s first “Guardians” in 2014 is one of the best Marvel projects ever, and “Vol. 3” (★★★½ out of four; rated PG-13; in theaters Friday) soars pretty close to its own high mark with a final outing with this lovably scrappy bunch of space misfits.
