I watched Ant Man Quantamanium or however you spell it. Literally the only good thing about it is the CGI, that's it. The rest is pure garbage. I mean I know it's fantasy but they go from shrinking or enlarging to going into a supposed realm. That's meant to be beyond all possible comprehension about how small it is, but it has thriving intelligent races and war. And they all look in awe when Ant Man enlarges himself to a massive scale, that in reality is still impossibly small and minute.

Sorry, bit if a rant but it did my head in lol.

But that's the whole fun about it... don't assume we're the reference to anything and look at quantum mechanics (hence the name Quantumania). For a long time we "knew" there's nothing smaller than an atom. We were wrong. Now we believe there's nothing smaller than the Planck length (~1.6*10^-36m, we have no way to go that small) with a quark at ~0.4 attometer. Who says there's nothing "inside" of subatomic particles? Who says our entire universe isn't a tiny particle in a much larger universe? We have no way to prove or disprove this and any progress made towards such a (dis-)proof will likely not happen in our lifetime. Let's focus on the easy stuff first and tackle tachyons or tachyonic dark energy first. ;)

Go to the Quantum realm to get involved in tribal turf wars. Phase 5 fail. 🥱

Dial M for Murder (1954) by Alfred Hitchcock.

A classic movie which would be impossible to update and remake today due to the differences in technology. Most of the movie is shot in just one room, similarly to Rear Window, which was released on the same year by the same director.

Of note here is the incredible performance by Ray Milland as he carries the movie. However, special mention to the beautiful Grace Kelly. Not only her beauty is unsurpassed, but she’s perfect in her role and I couldn’t imagine this movie with a different actress. As many classic movies, the long scenes, the lack of CGI, the limited technical capabilities, and the long dialogues bring out the best of the best in terms of acting.

Highly recommended, 10/10.

One to watch and then some...

Q-6

Whenever I think of crazy experiments and sensory deprivation, I think of this:

Protected from oversight, CIA and army behavioral experiments accelerated. During 1955, an MK-Ultra experiment took place in which an army “volunteer” was sealed in a sensory deprivation box for forty consecutive hours. In panic and terror, he kicked his way out, and wept uncontrollably for a day. This resulted in a change of policy: the box was strengthened.

Rule number one, never volunteer in the military as nothing much good comes of it. The problem being is your frequently volunteered like it or not LOL...

Captain America: Winter Soldier (Phase 2, 2014)- A prime story in the Avengers Eco-system, a redefinition of who the bad guys are, there are several characters who rise from the dead, outstanding aerial action sequences, including among the best GCI I’ve seen in a movie.

another Kim Basinger movie:

warning: Not for the faint hearted
..contains Pink Cadillacs and Elvis impersonators.

Morbius (2022)- Promising start sinks into waste of time territory. Two boys grow up with a blood disease, as an adult, one finds a cure involving vampire bats, and you might guess the rest. What disappointed me is that it became all about one with a moral basis trying to reign in the other who was akin to a sociopath drunk with power, becoming muddled and dark.

Never saw it, but it became the source of endless memes based on a line that was supposed to take place in the film (but didn't) "It's morbin' time" made me never want to watch it and your review just reinforces that with me.
