"Funkytown" by Lipps, Inc.

Random, I know. :p
Not really - it's just had a stonking remix by Soulwax. And a different version by Fergie (the DJ not the Man United manager ;) ).
Currently humming Let's All Chant by The Michael Zager Band - the one that goes "My body, Your body etc.). Very sad.

Earlier in the week I had Jerk it Out by the Caesars running round my head. Today it's been Talk by Coldplay, I had to listen to it 5 or 6 times on my drive home this evening to get rid of it...

"Helena" by My Chemical Romance. I usually despise these bands, but I actually bought their album and the lyrics are good, and it's a nice and energetic alternative to what I usually listen to. (Which is much more deep and profound)

"Avalanche" by Thea Gilmore.
Effing brilliant:
"Who's going to raise a hand, when all we were taught to do was dance?
"Who'll be able to stand against this avalanche?"

I was listening to the Billboard Charts of different years and in 1987 (i think) I came across

Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now by Jefferson Airplane/Jefferson Starship/Starship & Starship.

WHY MUST I ALWAYS GET STUPID '80s SONGS STUCK IN MY HEAD.

centerfield by John Fogarty ->i saw the new bad news bears movie the other day and it was in the movie
Also smash mouth - all star (my campers love that song)
Josh Gracin - nothing to lose. (even though i hate country) link

Ring of Fire by Wall of Voodoo
"I was bound by a wild desire, I fell into a ring of fire, I fell down into a burning ring of fire, I went down down down as the flames got higher, and it burns burns burns the ring of fire the ring of fire..."

and

The Horrible People (Remix & Repent) by Marilyn Manson

Buffalo Springfield - For What It's Worth

"Stop, hey, what's that sound?
Everyone look what's going down."

Ive had two recently,, both thanks to adverts in the uk,,,

One's from the muller yoghurt advert, Aint got no( igot Life) by nina simone,

Ain't got no home, ain't got no shoes
Ain't got no money, ain't got no class
Ain't got no skirts, ain't got no sweaters
Ain't got no faith, ain't got no beard
Ain't got no mind
I got my hair, I got my head
I got my brains, I got my ears
I got my eyes, I got my nose
I got my mouth, I got my smile

and the other is Seasons in the sun, by loads of artists, Westlife, The kingston trio.

luckily both on itunes, so ive played them out of my head,

The Hardest Part - Coldplay :)
The whole x&y album is a work of art in my opinion. That song comes in down the list for me. That killers song mentioned earlier is awesome. Thanks!
