WHY MUST I ALWAYS GET STUPID '80s SONGS STUCK IN MY HEAD.
rkristich said:For me it's Wonka's Welcome Song from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I don't see how anyone can walk out of that movie (I loved the movie by the way) and not have that song stuck in their head. Of course, it doesn't help that I bought the soundtrack right after I saw the movie and have listened to the entire thing about 20 times. I love Danny Elfman!

I know that's really an annoying one... but just be glad you don't get this one stuck in your head, which is a hazard for all Norwegians who listened to music the summer of 1989... Now then you'd relly need lots of musical therapy...
AAARGH... need... good... music... now...![]()
jdechko said:Yes, thats the one. My fiance wanted to duct tape my mouth closed after we saw that movie. Ever since then, I've had that song playing in my head at least once a day. BTW, have you seen the Techno version that they have on the ITMS. Its great.I can't imagine actually dancing to that at a club, though. I think that I'd just bust out laughing if I heard it in a club. I heard a dance version of a song from the original too, the other day... its the song Willy Wonka sings in the chocolate room in the original.
Rkristich, I loved the movie too.
It's an aac file with one of the worst summer hits ever, in Norway at least. Shouldn't really crash anything...homerjward said:lol that link crashed firefox when i clicked, so im not gonna try againwhat is it?
words and music by Eric Idle
Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best...
And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...
If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps
Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing.
And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...
For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.
So always look on the bright side of death
Just before you draw your terminal breath
Life's a piece of ****
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true.
You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughing as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.
And always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the right side of life...
(Come on guys, cheer up!)
Always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the bright side of life...
(Worse things happen at sea, you know.)
Always look on the bright side of life...
(I mean - what have you got to lose?)
(You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing.
What have you lost? Nothing!)
Always look on the right side of life...

I'm currently trying desperately to rid myself of a children's song by Dan Zanes called "All Around The Kitchen (Cock-a-doodle-doodle-doo)" or something like that. They must have played it two or three times today while my boy was watching Noggin. That song is insidious. I only wish I could get a bad 80's song (yes, even Dead or Alive's one lone hit) stuck in my head to drown this one out.
I may come to regret that last statement.![]()

Have to admit I quite like that era of Doobies and Chicago et al., Saw Chicago and the Doobies live, the opening act for the Doobies was Huey Lewis and the News, pre-hits, they put on a good show.
Chicago was the Terry Kath/Peter Cetera era and they hit the stage and played for 2.5 hours without stopping. Great show.
