This morning I am stuck on the tune "Let Go" by Frou Frou. It's on the Garden State soundtrack. Awesome, awesome tune.
"beauty in the breakdown..." Darn you powermac, now it's stuck in my head. ;)

Umm, do you mean Sid and Marty Kroft? Seals and Croft did the song "Diamond Girl," among others. :)

Oops, I knew that didn't sound right. Thanks. Still, its a very annoying song to be stuck with....

No problem, but I needed to employ a cheese grater to scrape "Diamond Girl" off my brain. :p

When you grow up. Living like a good boy aught to.
and your mamma. Takes a shine to her best son.
Something different. All the girls they seem to like you.
Cause your handsome. Like to talk and a whole lot of fun.

Havent heard that song in a while and it popped up on the iPod yesterday. Ever since, I just cant get it out of my head.

Oh, by the way. Its the Scissor Sisters, Take your Momma Out. Just in case...

I just heard "Mary, Mary, Where ya goin' to" by the Monkees on the radio.... Worst part is, I don't know any of the words so I'm kinda mumbling Mary mary, where ya goin' to, mary mary, can I come too. over and over. ahhhhhh

"I used to think maybe you love me, now baby I'm sure
And I just can't wait till the day when you knock on my door
Now everytime I go for the mailbox gotta hold myself down
Cause I just can't wait till you write me you're comin' around

Now I'm walking on sunshine, whoa oh
Now I'm walking on sunshine, whoa oh
Now I'm walking on sunshine, whoa oh
And don't it feel good, hey, all right now
And don't it feel good"

Either that or the theme song from "Dora the Explorer"

It's my own private hell.

Ooh... you're thinking about Baby Makes Her Blue Jeans Talk, too, or something even worse...?

:D

I will assume that I'm very happy that I have no idea what song you are referring to, there. :)

Hey, now I can happily listen to Katrina and the Waves -- great driving song with the windows wide open, clear road ahead...

powermac666: just for you:

"Night falls on the city, baby feels the beat
Slick and sexy angel of the street
The queen of all the night birds watch her when she walks
She don't say nothing but, baby makes her blue jeans talk

Baby makes her blue jeans, yes she makes her blue jeans talk
Baby makes her blue jeans, yes she makes her blue jeans talk
You know what she's thinking about and it turns you inside out
She don't say nothing but, baby makes her blue jeans talk"

I'll do you one better...."It's a Small, Small World," courtesy of Walt Disney.

:D :D

And this one comes with a story. A friend of mine used to work at Disney World and one day, there was a problem at the It's a Small World attraction. It had to be stopped for two hours to fix the problem. No big deal, right? Wrong. The soundtrack NEVER stops. The boats may cease moving, the dolls may stop dancing, but the music ...NEVER... stops. Cast members came from all over the park to see the traumatized customers leaving the attraction, mumbling phrases of "Small World" repeatedly. It was even worse for those patrons who were stuck hearing "It's a Small World" in Chinese....

Another song that's very painful when it sticks is Living Next Door To Alice or really any song by Smokie. This band is, for some unknown reason, HUGE in Norway (especially in rural areas) and receives a fair amount of airplay, especially the old "hits". The trouble is that a couple of their choruses are dangerously catchy making the chance that it will stick all the greater. It's at times like that a lobotomy seems like a good idea...

CanadaRAM has already provided the lyrics. I'll see if I can get hold of a sample. Just having a bit of trouble with the internet connection, due to a power failure 500 km (~310 miles) away in Oslo(!).

Edit: Got through to my web host, listen to this, but don't blame me for any mental damages... ;)

Song: Carry the Zero
Artist: Built to Spill
Album: Keep it Like a Secret

Song: Do That There (The Young Einstein Hoo-Hoo Mix)
Artist: Lyrics Born
Album: Same !@#$ Different Day

Currently I don't have any songs playing in my head. Sounds as though I need to find one.
