You can turn off the wysiwyg editor in your preferences. Maybe that could help?

What is wysiwyg? Sorry if it's a stupid question, but I'm unfamiliar with these forum systems...

Sorry. I mean the "rich" text editor which does stuff like underline and linking in place rather than using bbcode. The setting is in your preferences:

It's useable on my dual 1ghz Quicksilver in Leopard Webkit, although the old layout was much faster.

The new MR Front Page has crashed my 9600(200MP) in Classilla I'm pretty sure-I can't even get to the forum to check how it does.

My poor little Cube is choking quite badly. Almost unbearable type lag in WebKit.

TFF is just about usable but it's definitely not an enjoyable experience.

A "low bandwidth" or equivalent option would be lovely.

I think a simplified version of the forums, like the old mobile forums before this grade would be smooth sailing for G3 and low spec G4s, as well as anything lower. Too bad the two forum systems are different and incompatible.

Also, last note, remember, we need to be thankful and reasonable. We are lucky to have great forum admins that will upgrade from a dying system to something more modern and 'hip'. Lastly, most browsers are on modern machines capable of running the new site, we shouldn't complain too much.

The new look is growing on me as I figure out where everything is. It is a change that needed to happen for more reasons than one and I sure am thankful that @arn did a great job with the UI as well as migrating everything quickly!

Agreed, I am starting to really enjoy the new look.

I reopened because there seem to be old
Machine specific issues

This is really starting to piss me off.
Almost everytime I close my browser I get logged out, and 80% of the time when I try to log back in I get what's in the picture.
I had to try 3 browsers and waste about 5 minutes I'll never get back just to log in so I could post this rant.

I do agree with this. There are some teething pains that I'm sure will be worked out, and I'm also sure I'll get used to the new layout in a few days.

I just hope that stuff like being able to access the site in Classilla aren't permanently broken, however.
