Hmmm. I'm typing this on my QS. Does not seem to be any real issues. Haven't tried it yet on my PowerBook. Of course it helps with the tweaks and modifications I've done as well as having Noscript.

I am noticing a little slowdown in the QuickReply, so here's a tip for those experiencing slow typing. At the bottom right there's the big button that says "More Options". Click that and enter your reply there.

It occurred to me that this might be the case as it's essentially just one giant box on the screen so less resources may be in use.

EDIT: There also seems to be a bunch of new analytic sites. I've added them to my Block Site addon.

Erik you've mentioned earlier that you use Fluid apps for a lot of your browsing.
Is there a way to incorporate Noscript into these fluid browers?

I'm having a problem with emails flooding in from MR,
I've gone into my preferences and turned off every alert I can see and still they come.

Sadly, no. You are trading speed for decreased content blocking.

On one of the emails you get, at the bottom follow the link to unsubscribe.

You and others seem to be having this issue. For some reason I am not affected, but switching off all that crap was one of the first things I did.

Also, make sure you have the option to subscribe to your own threads unchecked.

I just hope that stuff like being able to access the site in Classilla aren't permanently broken, however.

True. I think that even if Classila support is lost the benefits outweigh the losses. For instance, a couple of things I like are the new highlight a section of text and hit "Reply". This now lets you quote a part of a reply. Previously you had to delete sections of the quote. There are many benefits and as long as TenFourFox runs this as well as the old vBulletin system then I am more than happy!

OK. I'll admit to a little slow down on page load, but once loading is complete it's responsive enough. Even the jquery for the on the fly editing works fairly well.

However, I will say that now MR is probably one of the slower forum sites I visit - using PowerPC anyway. This is why I optimize the hell out of my browser though. I can't imagine trying this stock on T4Fx.

Well, I just had to do a force reboot on my 9600 because the new site really did crash Classilla(thank you, lack of protected memory).

I'll try tomorrow on a newer OS 9 system and see if I get similar results. I'm planning on setting up my Single 1.25 MDD in the new "Computer Room" tomorrow, so I'll try it there.

Of course, there's always the PowerRack with the dual 1.8s, but it's temporarily in storage and probably won't be out again for another week or so.

Hey if you need help setting up, just pay for gas :p hahaha

I'd take it to Louisville with me tomorrow, but am stopping on the way to pick up a couple of graphite iMacs and won't have room for it :)
Hahaha, that sounds like something you'd say "just picking up another bunch of Apples"

A little bit off topic, but it would really make my day if you meandered into my Apple Cinema Display topic.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid I'm not much help, as I've never owned an Aluminum display(although I do now have all the acrylic ones-the CRT is in transit).

The person I bought my Quad from is sending me a supposedly dead one for the added shipping cost, but I don't have that in hand yet.

Hmm cool. For your sake, I hope that the display has a bad adaptor, not a bad display.

Bizzare. Made some changes to my T4Fx profile tonight on the QS. T4Fx locked up and then additional restarts kept giving me the beachball. No load.

So, I copied over the Firefox profile folder from my PowerBook and again, the same. Trying to load T4Fx on my PowerBook resulted in the same issues. It's been working fine all week!

So, finally, I made one minor change in Firefox on my MBP then copied over the profile folder to both Macs. Voila, both loaded T4Fx just fine and I am typing this from T4Fx on my QS.

Eerily enough the profile settings from the MBP seem to be performing better on the PowerPC Macs then the old profile settings!

Sometimes there is no explaining things!

Here's what my 9600 has looked like for the past 15 minutes...

I actually used to enjoy browsing browsing MR on this system.
I'm getting something similar on my old RISC OS machine... which desperately needs a new browser :(

I quite like it, although I think without bounding borders around each post it does look a little unstructured.
