Along with the iPhone 6s Plus and the Apple TV, I really hope they use this and the iOS 9 street date as an opportunity to announce a price restructure of the iCloud storage tiers. Their pricing is well out of alignment with their closest competitor and in the past year we've received Apple Photos which has greatly increased the need for storage for many. Hopefully the base tier gets some additional storage, and the paid levels either get a higher allocation or reduced pricing.

OK I thought this was funny. :D

if this is literally ligned up with this post then that means:

iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus - yup
Pad Pro yup
iPad mini 4 nope
fourth-generation Apple TV yup
Apple Watch bands and finishes nope
iOS 9 and watchOS 2. yup

I can't WAIT for someone in the media to get the 16 Gig model, and show how you can fill up the entire iPhone in just a couple minutes, with 4K video. Bendgate made structural integrity a priority in this model. Hopefully the embarrassing press over StorageGate, gets apple to adopt 2012 standards.

It's never gonna get as viral as BendGate because 16 GB can be more than enough for the very casual user, but BendGate affected everyone if they tried to bend their phone deliberately or by putting in a back pocket, etc.

16 GB is a minor issue. Always go for the second tier model, and you'll be fine.

The power supply is a non-issue with power of the chip. A battery operated supercomputer (geez... I was going to say, "Cray") would be just as powerful as a plugged in one.

Now, you're right on the firmware authors powering down the chip while on battery is possible, just as long as they power it back up when the power is needed.

I'm coming at it from a theoretical view, and you're coming at it from a practical view, so we're both right on this.
I am not talking about the power supply, but the ability for the ATV to utilize the full power of the A8 chip due to not having to worry about battery life like the iPhone.

This reminds me of the Samsung phone bench-tests a few years ago. The Samsung benchmarks were a lot higher that many other phones, then it was discovered that the phone recognized that it was under some type of test and the phone operated at its full capability. But it would never be able to perform that well normally due to it saving on battery life.

I'll take that!

This is streaming to Apple TV right?

Yes Apple will be live streaming the event ....

Requirements: Live streaming uses Apple’s HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) technology. HLS requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with Safari on iOS 7.0 or later, a Mac with Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5 or later, or a PC with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. Streaming via Apple TV requires a second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 6.2 or later.

Is no one seriously going to mention how BAD the 4.7" model needs an upgrade in terms of screen PPI? Compared to 4" iPhone 5S and Plus the 4.7 looks like a peasant. It was one of the reasons I decided to return it when I first bought it and go back to my 5S.

If anything, the MAIN upgrade should be a drastic bump in screen quality because its very pixelated compared to the models I mentioned.

This is what I expect:
-----------------------

"Good morning."
"Thank you for coming."
"We have some incredible things to show you. Our teams have been working so hard.."
"It's been an amazing year for Apple."

Then, either an Apple Store opening video, or a milestone of Apps downloaded/number of Apps available/
amount of dollars paid to developers.

Watch - "our customers are loving it. here's a video.."
unveil new straps, & mention WatchOS 2 coming soon.. perhaps showing a key feature or two.

iPhone - graphs of market share, iOS share/latest version, maybe even a video
And then some clever spin to lead into the next iPhone, given the fairly incremental upgrades.
Perhaps it will focus on the camera, or perhaps on the display and loads of techy detail
on how 3D Force Touch works.
6S and 6S+ revealed and low-down on the specs, price and pre-orders date.

iPad - another video showing cool iPad users, such as pilots and dance instructors..
Mini iPad update. Reveal iPad Pro (probably with a different name). Stylus in artistic programs, and
a diary app for business users. Super expensive, but will look gorgeous!

Interlude - some non-Apple presentation.. perhaps a game developer showing a dull new game with
amazing graphics, or perhaps a drawing app developer showing cool artistic work with the stylus.
In an attempt to show that this new apple stylus is way better than any of the many other styluses
produced for the iPad already, and the other tablets on the market.

"We're not finished" or "One More Thing" (but that seems too cliched these days..)
Apple TV is an area of interest.. "we want to move it on" (to use Siri etc)
New Apple TV shown. Emphasis on its 'hub' role, and using Siri to control it...
with spotlight on gaming/apps, as well as showing TV channels. Available to buy tomorrow.

Total time: 2 hours, 10 minutes.
As sad as it sounds, I think you nailed it.

It's really bad when you play Minecraft on the 6+...

Well, let's hope the iPhone 6S 488ppi rumor comes true tomorrow.

The only thing i am remotely excited for is the Apple tv. Yet I will probably not be buying it anytime soon being very happy with my firetv and ps4 as my main tv media consumption devices. Hardly use my old Apple tv at this point since Apple has left it by the wayside for so long.

I feel like these yearly events have gotten pretty stale and not worth watching. What has made it somewhat worse is they are getting selfaware that the events have been a snooze lately. So they over do it with cringe worthy jokes. The minor upgrades to the iPhone and possibly an upgrade to iPad's just no longer excites me personally.

Ion Strengthened glass... every single iPhone 6 owner I know has broken their screen, this is contrast to years of no cracked screens from the same group of friends owning iPhones since the 3

This is true for me also. Haven't had a broken screen since the iPhone 3GS.

No way Apple is announcing all that hardware at one event. And of course when they don't, everyone will rant, APPL will fall 20%, calls for Cook to resign, Jobs would've never done this, etc., etc.

That reference is very tired and dated now, and you might need to think up a new joke. ;)
It's exactly a year since then, I had to! And still much better than Safari being snappier. :D Not to worry though, I won't do it again.

… then they'll show a video for the iPad Pro with Trump - "it's HHHUUGEEE"

The only reason they have booked the large auditorium is they are seeking the media attention... Bring on Trump and would be great to throw in the Jenners for maximum hype...

Glass is made of sand. Silicon is made of sand. PCBs are made of fibreglass and resin (sand and tree sap), and "aluuuumeenum" is made from recycled drinks cans and other aluminium scrap. Apart from the obvious R&D costs (which will always be HUGE so long as human beings are more interested in making extortionate profits over helping each other out a bit more) these phones are an absolute rip off. The ONLY reason things cost so much, is that every single person in every step of the process of producing something, values their work or the value of their materials way higher than any sane person could reasonably justify. All the stress, anxiety, anticipation and exploitation of third world workers... all the design skills and all the relationships that fractured and fell apart due to the debts incurred JUST to have the latest iPhone or other gadget, only to see it abandoned and in the crusher in a few years, whilst the societal damage its creation and the desire to own it, caused, still reverberates.

All this fuss, and in 24-48 months it will be crushed glass dust and aluminium ingots once again. All this hype will be forgotten in a few months, and the excitement of this "New iPhone!!" will have dulled and died out, with this "New iPhone!!" having been realised as yet another exercise in building unfulfilling hopes and shallow smiles of short term satisfaction ... chasing things that can never truly satisfy your soul, and this device will soon just be "my phone", nothing more than another snapshot of the continuous, redundant, calculated iteration of something of no REAL use to the world.

What a sad, sad, pathetic and shallow world.
If we all just stopped spending money, we'd all be rich...

And people wonder how such an advanced society could be teetering on the verge of collapse? It's because poetic nonsense passes as wisdom.

One thing I really hope they do - get rid of the 16GB phone. Seriously, if we're moving into 4K/UHD territory for videos we need a bigger base model for storage.

If Apple got rid of the base 16GB model, I'm pretty sure Apple would just raise the price of the base model by $100 and have it be 64GB. And then you get more complaints about price.

Not everyone is going to be shooting 4k videos or downloading lots of apps. On my smartphone, the apps I use 90% of the time are Chrome, gmail, whatsapp, google maps. I don't need 64GB for that.
