So many stupid comments in this thread - can't wait to laugh at most of this crap, tomorrow, and see the loud mouths scurry off into dark corners.

The 15" MBP also comes with quad-core processors (which the 14" MB won't come with just for heat dissipation issues in a very slim design). And the price difference between the 11 and 13" MBA (which share very similar dual-core processors) is only $100 at the low end. Or in percentages, the 13" MBA is 11% more expensive than the 11" MBA. For the MBPs that difference is 54%. If we split the difference (~30%), the 14" MB might cost $1700. But my guess would $300 more than the 12" version, ie, $1600.

Interesting analysis.

I really hope it costs around $1600. But then again, we are not even sure whether they will introduce 14" model yet!

This is extremely disappointing. Numerous other manufacturers have introduced Skylake notebooks. At this point, Apple is a laggard. Frankly, I'm sick of hearing from Apple about their various content meisters, high flying deals, funky watch straps, fights with the government, and quests for Gay rights. What a bunch of nonsense. Get on with it and build cutting edge computers.

Mac OS X is optimized by Apple and can do more with less hardware, just like iOS is optimized to do more with less hardware. Apple doesn't need to update their laptops and desktops. Only Windows and Android users care about specs. ;)

My bet for a surprise announcement is the introduction of AirPods.

Their announcement now will prepare iPhone users and the market for the launch of the iPhone 7 without a headphone jack 5 months from now. I expect that they'll be announced as a part of AppleWatch updates because the Watch lacks a headphone jack and Bluetooth earphones are an obvious missing Watch accessory that should have been release at launch.

- I don't need some digital band to tell me I am a lard-arse, I know it, and will take (un)common sense step to remedy it
I am happy for you that you can plan your week ahead and then perfectly stick to every detail of your plan. Good for you. However I'm pretty sure that doesn't work for most people.

The problem with strong opinions is that when uttering them you unavoidably insult people with a different opinion (or paint yourself as somebody who doesn't give a s**t).

I can't see what they are going to talk about to fil the time with this one:

iPhone SE - They've already announced all the features in previous phones and they can't even say it's the 6S in a more compact size as it's missing 3D touch!

iPad Pro - Again, all the features (bar the screen size) were hammered home in the last keynote and the price will be a nasty footnote.

Watch bands - unless these have batteries built into them I can't see how they could possibly gush about these.

iOS 9.3 - possibly a few minutes blabbing on about how harmful blue light is at night and a tech demo of Night Shift but other features such as password-protection for notes and the Health activity tracker won't take long to talk about or demo

WatchOS 2.2 - Multiple watches connections to one phone? How many people are even interested in this? Maps updates? Not really something for a Keynote demo surely?

OS X 10.11.4 - Bugs and performance tweaks do not need much talking about

TvOS 9.2 - Nice features to have but this is really just filling in features that should have been there at launch - would Apple really want to highlight folder creation as a new feature in 2016?

I'm really hoping some Macs will be updated, but it's surely likely to just be a rMB update to Skylake and maybe TB3 in the same chassis (hence lack of rumours). Could also be some Siri updates and the usual market report / store update but surely there isn't enough to fill an hour here is there?

Maybe they are not going to discuss what everybody thinks they are.

We can see you're new to the Apple world, bless you :)

~1 It's ALWAYS "iPhone", it's THE LAW.

~2 Apple taking offline any part of Apple.com this early? May as well not even bother having a keynote huh, since they're announcing by implication.

If you withhold your pondering for just a few more hours, we shall all find out what's what, eh :)

I don't really have anything better to do (sad I know) and the weather is pretty bad, so I probably watch it. From the rumors alone though there is absolutely nothing that excites me in any shape or form.

I'd rather Loop myself in the loop :D Apple's gone loopy....Going on Apple TV 3. There's allot u can make of this.

lol.
Well..i'm not exactly new to apple world...LOL...but I just know apple would shut down their nice little shopping website. However, I don't know exactly when they usually close their shop.
:D
I don't mean to imply ONLY iphone...lol....but any products that they would introduce.

PS...i think lot of people would rather see the items from the website then watching the whole 2 hrs of keynote.

It's a bit early pal. Remember the event is at 10am PST.
Yeah...i know i know.

The naming scheme is really dumb. It should be like that:

iPad mini, iPad, iPad Pro
iPhone mini, iPhone, iPhone Pro

But instead it will be:

iPad mini, iPad Pro, iPad Pro
iPhone SE, iPhone, iPhone Pro

oO? Timmy had lost the last touch with reality.

You tell 'em - I am sure you could make Apple sales figures SOAR with your insight! ;)

I love watching these events, primarily to see if any leaks match up with the final product. Not interesting in the Apple watch, already have an iPhone 6 plus which works fine, already got an iPad Air 2, and already running iOS 9.3 on my iOS devices and El Capitan Beta on my Mac.

Tim Cook: iPad sales have been slowing down for the last few years, what can we do to excite customers again?

Schiller: why not lower the prices of the iPad or add something useful and unique to the new ones, something that customers may actually care about other than a $100 crayon?

Cook: great idea! A price change! Let's call it the iPad pro and charge $100 more for fun!

Schiller: oh for **** sake...
Are you kidding? That move has Schiller's fingerprints all over it.

Agreed.

Apple Watch needs wireless headphones and a GPS.

Then it would be an awesome device to run/jog with.

Also would be nice to have a waterproof Apple Watch for swimming.

The idea of Airpods is great. Wireless headphones would be awesome for everyone. I'm sure there will be compromises, but I am excited to see what Apple is going to show us tomorrow!

this might be the first time i am not excited for Apple launch event

If Apple buys Go Pro then I know it's time to sell my Apple Stock.

Apple got ripped for their pathetic graphics just last week.. Been critics have been laying into them for years about this. Apple continues to ignore. A lot of pros have abandoned the Mac for the PC.

.

"APPLE GET'S RIPPED FROM COMPANY WHO HASN'T SHIPPED ANYTHING EVER....NEWS AT 11!"

Tim Cook will dedicate a fair amount of time to discussing the Apple v. FBI case before any product announcements. He has a captive audience in the world's media and he's not going to waste the opportunity.

iOS and OSX updates.

Mac spec bumps.

iPad:
- Discussing the success of the iPad Pro and Pencil. How it's the new work tool.
- iPad Pro, now in 2 sizes.
- iPad mini retina now the cheapest entry level iPad.

The iPhone SE (I prefer iPhone mini):
- Wouldn't be surprised if everyone was wrong and it's nothing as expected.
- I don't think it'll exclude 3D Touch. They're driving 3D Touch as a significant user interface feature in the future of iOS. They will want it in use by as many iPhones as possible going forward.

Apple Watch:
- WatchOS updates
- New bands, including a new designer partner: Burberry.
- Health discussion, a segue for...

One more thing... AirPods.
- Wireless earphones ideal for AppleWatch, announced now to prepare everyone for the elimination of the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 later this year.
- Additional health sensors to be used in conjunction with Apple Watch. Inner ear temperature is the most accurate place for a thermometer. It'll be an obvious sensor built into AirPods. EKG is also possible to be measured through your ears.
- GPS or a low powered alternative in the AirPods rather than in the Watch itself.
- Always on, in ear Siri. Think "Her".

AirPods will be a sister product to AppleWatch. Rather than announcing an AppleWatch 2 a year since the original announcement, they'll introduce a companion product that'll augument the existing Apple Watch with additional sensors and features.

While it's possible that AirPods could be left for WWDC, with a next generation Siri announced as a major feature of iOS 10 and AirPods its physical Siri product, I think that Apple needs to begin preparing people and changing mentalities about not needing a wired headphone jack. Having a desirable product that replaces wired headphones in the market for some time before announcing the removal of the headphone jack, is the best way to ease people in. Announcing them as an Apple Watch accessory now would be a good covert strategy.

Side note: The introduction of AirPods for working out with AppleWatch, updating the iPad line with the cheapest iPad mini costing the same or very close to an iPod Touch, and the iPhone SE essentially an iPod Touch with cell service, the iPod may be mostly discontinued. Maybe the Shuffle and Touch will remain for now pending a cheaper AppleWatch and formal end to the iPod line but I can hardly think of a reason to keep the Touch around other than emotional significance to Apple. The Nano will probably be unceremoniously dropped.
