You didn’t / don’t need to upgrade every year anyway. What a wasteAdmittedly I can’t really tell you what I expect from a iPhone now. I’ve been iPhone only since gen 1, but these new iPhones just do not inspire me to run out and buy them. I’m still on the iPhone X, when in the past I would have upgraded already. My wife and remember the days where we would wait hours in line on launch day. That was a really fun community type thing. People would be playing music. Starbucks would give out coffee. People would cheer. I guess I miss those launches. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the function of the iPhone. Maybe after a decade I’m just not as excited because innovation has kind of caught up with technology.
"A perception these are ugly" created by the "fandroids"... and there we have it folks, the current apple consumer at it's best.
Unlike the notch - no-one will get passed that camera bump.
its funny cause its true?Pencil support. About as likely to end up on a future iPhone as a headphone jack.

You do know this alleged mockup didn't come from Apple right?

Makes perfect sense given that the percentage of users who don't use a case is somewhere around .0001%, and it ends up flush with a case.

You can do all those things with the original iPhone. So much for that argument....

Now that's the funniest post in a long time.
Man, this year's iPhones just seem so akward. Should have jumped on last year's models.
I think these are going to look very dated in a year.
Those cameras are unapologetically hideous
The Fandroids are trying really hard to create a perception these are ugly. They're not. It will be easy to mitigate the camera square with a cover (black) or just buy a black iPhone 11 - if it REALLY bothers anyone, which is doubtful.
And watch, in a year, all the Android copycat handsets will look EXACTLY like iPhone 11, without the iPhone's faster processor, secure OS and the rest.
I think what makes these fake models ugly, are the "iPhone" label at the bottom and the weird logo placement. Here is a cleaner version of what it might look like if you adjust it.

Last 5 years same changes. Camera improvements, processor goes up 1 number from a10 to a11 to a12 etc lol, slightly longer battery life and that’s about it. Literally same non sense.

Haven’t seen a single phone with a notch and no chin before the phone x, 2 years later and android phones still have a chin.
You can browse the iPhone X launch thread and see some of the comments about the notch and how android fans felt about the notch when Apple launched it.
1 year later and almost every android oem tried to clone the iPhone X, of course after mocking Apple and the notch. It was a bit pathetic to be honest.
It looks good to me. Not great, not bad.
People will have to realize this isn't the big change year. We've known for months now that the next big outward facing change for the iPhone will be in 2020. This year is all about minor hardware features and improvements across the board.
Honestly, the cameras don't bother me so much. I think it looks good and I'm sure they will probably tweak it some in 2020.
I upgrade every year myself, and I probably will this year. I knew it wouldn't be a huge change. Namely, I really want a Qualcomm modem this year but it won't realistically happen. If it does, I would definitely buy this year's iPhone Max.
