If they don't fix the Facebook app

You can "fix" it your self by jailbreaking and installing nitrous. It doesn't make the facebook app very good, but it makes it so that you can enable the nitro javascript engine for any app, which makes facebook very usable. Of course, if facebook updates theyr app and also you have nitrous then it will be awesome.

Not really. Used both of them.

iPhone 4S really is just an iPhone 4 with Siri.

Everyone said Siri was going to be huge (when it works), everything else it was hard to tell. Maybe pictures with better saturation and web pages might load 3 seconds faster. All in all, its pretty much the same.

I guess if you don't know how to read that might seem true.

----------

Yea it wasn't. 32GB was enough.

For YOU perhaps, but not for a lot of us. Managing storage in my 32GB 4 was getting annoying. I really appreciated the bump. Can't say I need to go 128 yet.

4S defiantly does not have 8 hours of battery. Already said that pictures had better saturation and web pages loaded like a couple seconds faster.

But hey, I'm glad you listed out all the features.

No need to get the insults out. Of course this is to be expected when I disagree ya'll passionate apples.

I thought the speed increase was pretty obvious too.

Pretty sure I said that web pages loaded up a few seconds faster.

Last time I checked the thread was asking:

"What would be the deal breaker for you for the next iPhone?"

So I really hope your not trying to make me change my opinion because you don't like it.

And I hope your not talking about other people...you know some might agree with you, bet ya a lot won't.

Last time I checked forums were live conversations that grew and changed and people replied to statements made within the conversation, NOT just the original post. (you know, like you just did?)

I was very obviously replying directly to the quoted posts that stated there were no differences between the iPhone 4 and 4s (a false statement) and also stated that 32GB wasn't necessary. Obviously it was since Apple sold a lot of them, myself being one of them. So the statement would be false. Just pointing that out.

Last time I checked opinions can't be false.

Just seems like your quite uncomfortable with my opinion of the iPhone 4S vs the iPhone 4, the iPhone 4S being a more subtle upgrade.

Seems like you also disagree with my choice of storage capacity which is awkward considering I haven't used up my 32GB yet so I'm not sure why your stating that I stated it wasn't necessary.

It also seems like your bringing up that the iPhone 4S sold in millions to counter my argument that my opinions is false and that everything in it was necessary.

Interesting.

How on God's green earth is that an insult. I said you (or whoever posted that) was wrong. It is wrong. And for me, that's pretty close to real-world results. Not only that but you failed to mention all of the other upgrades. People think if the phone doesn't look any different it's just an incremental upgrade. Is it the biggest most innovative launch ever? No. But it's far from "basically a 4 with Siri."

It can't be wrong if its an opinion. Sorry if you dont like it man, I might as well just start complaining about the iPhone 5 vs the iPhone 4S now or praise Android

I "failed" to mention the other upgrades because well they didn't really draw to me. The main draw for me was Siri (obviously it didn't go to well). I mean 14.4 Mbps...I'm on Verizon so that doesn't apply to me. The 8MP camera and 1080p is good, but 5MP and 720p worked just as good for me. What else was there? Bluetooth 4.0? Sure...I mean that's great for people that need to use it, until Apple releases a Bluetooth 4.0 gaming accessory. Faster processor? I thought I already mentioned that web pages loaded up a few seconds faster. 8 hours of battery life? Honestly couldn't tell the difference. 64G? Never passed 32GB.

In short...yea to me, its really just a iPhone 4 with the special 'one last thing' Siri.

You probably don't realize that not everyone has $$$ to you know buy the latest and greatest every year, know tons of people that still think the 3GS kicks ass. I mean that's cool...I honestly don't care.

I mean after having the same design for 2 years you would expect Apple to change up the design. Make a better signal, better quality, etc.

Interesting.

I didn't disagree with your choice of storage capacity, I disagreed with your very succinct statement that a storage increase was unnecessary. You clearly did NOT say, "I didn't need a storage increase" or I would not have needed to correct you. If you want to state an opinion, then do so....but don't make sweeping statements of judgement and call it opinion.

Which was what I state originally...

"Yea it wasn't. 32GB was enough."

Then you you replied (somewhat disapproving)...

"For YOU perhaps, but not for a lot of us. Managing storage in my 32GB 4 was getting annoying. I really appreciated the bump. Can't say I need to go 128 yet."

Yea, 32GB was enough...pretty sure most people with a good sense of English would be able to understand that I meant 32GB was enough. I posted that 32GB was enough.

I mean thanks for the advice I guess? Still don't know/care what you mean by sweeping comments, but just to also offer you a suggestion (try not to get to attached to other's opinions, especially when it comes to GB's for a smartphone).

My view is actual facts, though. The hardware is fact. The features that "don't really draw to you" is what an opinion is. And just because people can't afford doesn't have much of anything to do with the fact that it's a substantial upgrade. The only thing that has to do with is if people feel the upgrade is worth it to them.

In any event, I'm here for my love for Apple, not to argue.

Cheers. :apple:

Not sure where your understanding is failing, but saying "32GB is enough" is a very clear and succinct statement that fails to hint toward an opinion in any way. In fact, the "Yeah, it wasn't" clause solidified your intent. You clearly mean that it wasn't necessary for Apple to build a 64GB model. This was not a statement of opinion. However, the facts bear out that it was desired by many and therefore necessary.

Once again, if you want to state an opinion, then do so. It doesnt bother me in any way that you only need/want 32GB, I dont think anybody should spend more for 64GB if they don't need it. But don't make sweeping statements of judgement like you're speaking for the rest of us. It's funny you brought up English comprehension.

Snap! I've used about 60% of the storage on my 64GB 4S. 64GB is the sweet spot for me (for now).

If the Google Nexus I just replaced my iPhone 4 with turns out to be SO impressive I decide I am no longer an IOS type of person.

Giving my iPhone 4 to my brother in law this week, and decided to see what an Android phone that supports 4 looks like. So went with an unlocked phone that wasn't TOO expensive unsubsidized.

Most likely it will be my backup phone once the next iPhone comes out, when I recommit for 2 years with ATT.

That it runs 4G on 1800MHz so us Brits can actually use it!
That would be great. I wasn't expecting to have an iPhone that worked on a UK 4G network until at least the end of next year (until yesterday I wasn't expecting a 4G network in the UK until the end of next year!)

I dont want lte and if it has it, I want to be able to disable or have it removed! Seriously what android phone with lte has good battery life that isnt the size of a brick with a extended battery? LTE requires two radios at the moment because it doesnt carry voice yet, so 3g and lte are active at the same time and thats why I dont want it.

Nothing is a deal breaker for me else wise, Just if it has lte Id like to be able to disable it. I actually like the leaked design, Two tone looks SOOO sweet. the 4 inch screen is meh, battery drain but I wont mind it.

Well the 4G LTE Droid RAZR Maxx has superb battery life and its very thin, so...

It's thin (9 mm) but also quite tall (130.7 mm) and wide (68.7 mm). iPhone 4S by comparison is 115.2 x 58.6 x 9.3. So volume of Droid = 81.0 cc, 4s = 62.7 cc; volume of Droid is 29.2% greater. The new iPhone looks like it will be even smaller (lower volume) than the 4S so Apple probably won't be able to cram in the huge battery that Motorola did. We have to hope that power saving from new chips will be enough (or that Apple has some revolutionary new battery technology, which is unlikely).

Would be deal breaker

- elongated only screen
- 64 GB max storage with no opportunity to expand
- no big improvement in battery life

The only disappointment but not deal breaker is loss of accessories and now having to wait for good cases and such to come out. Its understandable and expected though.

worser battery life
and maybe if they don't upgrade the chip, hopefully A6 Quad-Core

You can't be sure it would really have a worser battery life even though leaks tell that it has a marginally improved battery.

And yes, I was hoping for a standard A5X to the very least or even better the A6.

Cases would come out AS SOON as the product is announced. Manufacturers would start to contact Apple for the dimensions and can immediately place their designs on the dimensions given by Apple and manufacture it. But of course, reputable case makers would release it later because they would want to be more careful with their products.
As for accessories, yes, the new dock connector issue might be a huge problem for manufacturers. But perhaps an adaptor would be temporary available to solve the issue, or perhaps this would even restart the dock connector market all over again .

Deal breaker? A larger form factor.

The phone is the perfect size for a phone today. I don't need a mini tablet in my pocket.

I probably won't get the iPhone 5 simply because my 4S is so new and works so well I don't need an upgrade ATM. However, I would say that cosmetically I don't think I like the two-toned back and overall the shrunk A5 would be the greatest disappointment. I still think it's going to be a great phone, just not as big of an update as some versions have been.
