It is the worst "feature" ever, why on earth they do it I have no idea, it is so annoying.
I'm on my 2nd 6 that says otherwise.
Landscape mode works when it wants to
Push notification on email does nor light the led or go to the home screen.
Messages will not allow quick reply :sometimes. Others the keyboard does not come up, just a blank blurry screen.
Phone call quality is poor. I have to ask the other person on a 5s to repeat themselves every other sentence. Full bars on phone.
FaceTime shows the other person sideways or upside down at times. No joke
iMessages sometimes do not come in. Yet other persons says delivered to me. In blue.
Bluetooth does not work properly in car.
Cannot take a call waiting call in car if Bluetooth is functioning that day or Bluetooth disconnects from car.
Wifi will not see my AirPort Extreme network (the latest and greatest apple model). Searches for network. Nothing found. Yet my iPad on ios7.1.2 is connected. Yet sometimes it just connects.
Get a solid red light above VM indicator on phone for no reason. No number on it no missed call recorded.
Camera takes a photo, send it over mms and it goes to the other person sideways or upside down.
Health app says I climbed 5 flights of stairs in 2 weeks. I have 20 stairs in my house and my bedroom is upstairs. Not to mention the miles I walk a day.
Slide to answer a call takes more than 2 attempts minimum.
Keyboard does not go back to letters after hitting the space bar when hitting a number. This could just be on propose via the new keyboard however.

We can also get up and change the channel and volume on the TV when needed too, after all, it's usually pretty close to us.

no. That is what a iCloud backup is for and the reason apple says to back up your phone to the cloud. They even charge me for 200gb of data so I can actually back up my devices. This start fresh theory is just that, an easy way to point out user error. My iPad had same issues. Set that up as new though. And your speaking on behalf of your dad's iPhone 6? I speak on his behalf because I am his tech support. If he had issues with his iPhone 6, I would not be having peaceful days.
He is having no issues and he is actually way happy about the new iPhone.
I'll just settle for 8.1 fixing third party keyboard support. I love Swype but the damned keyboard just fails to show half the time in places like spotlight and Facebook. 8.0.x hasn't been the best release I have to say.
Can't believe people couldn't handle the name change from camera roll, to recently added. Recently added makes a lot more sense than camera roll.
Narwhal- this happened to me in iOS 7. My husband called me (he works on the road) and asked me why he had all these pictures from my friends on his phone. He was also being asked for my Apple ID PW when he tried to update things. My husband and I have never shared the same Apple ID, his phone was backed up on a different computer, but my iCloud shared photo streams were showing up on his phone!
It drove us crazy trying to figure it out. My Apple ID was in his iCloud settings. Why, I do not know. I just went into his iCloud settings and logged myself off. I'm not exactly sure if you need the other person's PW, but that was our solution. Hope it's as easy as that for you.
I have the same screen rotation and Bluetooth issues as Tigres is having. These issues are real, annoying and have been reported elsewhere. Maybe not everyone, including your dad are experiencing them, but that doesn't mean it's nonsense as you are apparently implying.

All what you are describing is related to being linked to someone else's account which is not a bug.
Logging in with your Account will not help if the applications were installed with some one else's account. You need to delete the apps and purchase them with you Apple ID.

I can deal with them having Recently Added/Deleted if they at least had an "All Photos" album somewhere. Glad the Camera Roll is coming back.
Brand new phone, and is from my personal computer.
I did a backup of my iPhone 5 (transferred purchases and apps) and then restored it to my new 6+. I've never had her account logged in to anything of mine before
on my 2014 MBP, in the "Contacts" app, whenever you hover over a phone number, a blue phone icon appears on the right hand side. Click it and it will use your iPhone to make the call through the Mac. Or at least that's how I do it.
Oddly, it seemed to work on my Retina iPad Mini but not my iPhone 6 when I was using my iMac after upgrading. I rather like the features but my 2010 MBA won't be able to support any of it. I'm not sure I use my MBA enough to consider upgrading though.
Have just realised how many Apple products I crammed into two sentences there. I may need help with my addiction.
