Almost two weeks have passed since the iPhone 6 Released in the states and the inventory in the apple stores just poor.
Europe inventory is updated every day and you can order almost any device, and any color without any problems.

The situation here in Florida is poor and annoying. How a huge company like Apple does not shipped iPhone to the stores !?T-mobile space gray is impossible to achieve!!
The only option here is to buy the Sprint iphone :/
pick-up in the apple web is always error in the payment :/

Just a disgrace! Instead of providing iPhones to Europe send to the States Too!! (T-mobile - Free contract!!)

Maybe there are more buyers in the US that are outstripping the supply?

Before jumping to conclusions find the reason. So far, I see long lines at apple stores before the store even opens up. Stock is rolling in but its being sold as soon as it arrives. Its not a US vs. the world thing.

This is not a political discussion at all. I just put some facts on the table.
I do not agree with you. Here in Florida were not renewed inventory of T-Mobile version since Mon.
Naples and Fort Lauderdale did not get iPhones for over a week. :/

Pretty sure Apple is probably shipping more iPhones to the US than any other country since it's their biggest market for them. In Europe they probably have more in stock because the demand isn't quite as strong as it is here.

This is nothing new. It happens every launch. It will get better late October - November. Patience

Dude....preorder. Always preorder.

Either that, or wait. Like others have said, this happens every year. It actually does take weeks and even months to manufacture, QA check and ship *80 million iPhones*.

I have to agree. As soon as stock comes in it flies out the door. I ordered one for in store pick locally at 6:00pm. Called my store to ask a question. She told me they had gotten a large stock of pluses. Went the next morning for pickup. The same rep told me they sold out before the store closed that night!! Craziness.

Yeah it's nuts. But it's not some conspiracy or lack of effort like the OP believes. I'm certain that If Apple could sell everyone who wanted one an iPhone today, they would do it in a heartbeat.

But you can't make 80 million iPhones in a heartbeat.

OP and others just need to be patient. I walked into my carrier store on launch day and picked up a space grey 128GB 6, and about a week later walked into a different att store and exchanged it for a 16GB space grey 6. They're out there. Stores get shipments every day, you just have to be diligent.

I am in Florida and I was able to get my 128gb 6+ the day after launch. You just have to stay on top of inventory checking and the minute you see one available, buy it online and schedule pick-up.

While I agree that you kinda have to expect stuff like this following an iPhone launch, I do think that Apple are spreading themselves very thin with iPhone stock here in the US.

Apple may be saving up inventory for China and India (~1/3 of world population) which is launching in 8 days.

I don't think that inventory will stabilize until after the holiday season. International launches are going to strain demand even more. I always buy my devices months after release in order to avoid headaches.

That was the trend last year, but alot that was because you could pre-order the 5s. With preorders this must be related to supply and demand.

One question are you looking at the supplies of the standard 16g version? I thought those were available in a lot of places.

I think Apple is doing the best they can. I live in the USA so I obviously think they should make us a priority but then again the rest of the world wants iPhones as well! Just think how big the Chinese market is and Apple is officially launching in China next week!

But I wonder what the backlash would be if Apple diverted more phones for the initial launch countries instead of releasing to new groups of countries in the following weeks?

Backlash from other countries? Probably not very much. Consumers are alot less demanding in other countries than they are here.
