I don’t understand where all the mess in iOS 13 beta is. I’ve had literally no issues aside from a few App Store apps not up to speed. And that’s on the devs. OneNote wouldn’t let you make a new input in an existing note. Fixed by beta 3. A few size rendering issues in Safari. Gone in the next update. Otherwise smooth sailing for me.

can we scroll between accessories and scenes in control center yet? Seems rather limited for quick controls when you can only have a top 8 like myspace. I have 30 lights how do I choose my favorites apple?

Do you have your lights grouped yet? For example, my “Den Overhead” light actually has 3 bulbs on one fixture. Grouping allows me to control with one tap. Maybe some of your lights do this. Hope this can help you!

It's Android. You should expect that everything is customizable and notifications are no exception. You can select which apps can display notifications and which ones can't. It's that easy.
Same on iOS, but I don’t have to do anything, because OS is not trying to rape my ears.

And it’s far from easy on Android. It’s a never ending circle maze loop in the settings app.

This is a weird update and for some stupid reason it crashes Google Hangouts.
I am not so sure I am happy now that I have to walk on this weird update path.
iOs 13.1.... I would like to remove the profile when the GM comes out and just go with it but unfortunately, looks like I will have to make the full system cleanup.

I am only using the beta because of mouse support which I find extremely useful.

I remember when IOS was a lot simpler, will need a PhD to operate this thing in the future.
Yeap, I have to google how too's with a few things now-a-days. The device settings app seems especially random

For the beta users out there. How about the dark mode? Did you embrace it or it faded away after a short trial? I tried several times the dark mode in my Mac, but I can't get used to it. I find it harder on my eyes actually.

I've used dark mode on my mac since it became available but in in the iOS betas I've found I use dark mode on my iPhone with it's black (albeit minimal on the XR) bezel whereas on my iPad Air with it's white bezel I found dark mode looked odd and so use light mode on that.

Perhaps you could explain what makes this so definite?

It seems you’re just repeatedly posting your theory, without any explanation or source. If you’re so certain of this, please take the time to explain it. It doesn’t seem to make sense to anyone else.
The 13.1 beta has a build number starting with 17A. Everyone who‘s been around here for longer than a few days knows that the letter part of the build number designates the point release.

A = x.0
B = x.1
... and so on.
13.1 Beta being 17A could indicate that this is the year they go straight to 13.1 instead of 13.0. One theory is that they had to shuffle around production of the new phones due to tariffs, requiring them to lock in the GM earlier than expected (probably beta 8). Apple removed features like share ETA and automations (most likely due to issues) so the GM they ship with new iPhones doesn‘t have broken stuff out of the box. Combine that with the fact that Apple follows semantic versioning standards (e.g. breaking changes or major features require point release bumps), they have to push the version to 13.1 to introduce automations etc back into the fold.

So it‘s one of these:
- 13.1 takes the place of the „buggy“ GM (with only new iPhones shipping with the buggy one cause they require 13 to run)
- 13.1 simply has a 17A build so testers can upgrade to new iPhones day one without updating them to 13.1 (if they don‘t ship 13.1 as GM) > highly unlikely cause it‘s sloppy
- Apple threw all their standards out of the gate and/or butchered their own build versioning on purpose or by accident
- The next beta bumps the version to 17B and the discussion „why“ is over

Powerbeats pro also get a little icon in the volume indicator when you change the volume.
[doublepost=1566933076][/doublepost]

Getting a tiny bit better with each update, but still horrible. Waiting to see what new indignities mail.app will thrust upon me with 13.1 beta.
[doublepost=1566933148][/doublepost]

If 13 is released like this it will be the worst release ever (i was one of the first 400 developers starting with the original iphoneOS sdk, and I’ve never seen a beta so bad this late in the beta cycle)
Even worse than iOS 11?

And they will also have to release 13.1 by launch of new iPhones. How are you supposed to use your 13.1 backup for restoring your new iPhone using 13.0?
I’m glad you asked that! You set up the new iPhone as a new device (skipping all the signin prompts). Then you update to iOS 13.1. Then you Erase all Content and Settings in General > Reset and you’re ready to restore the new iPhone with your iOS 13.1 backup. Sorted! :apple::)

I see what you did there. Nice one.
I don’t! Please elaborate.

The 13.1 beta has a build number starting with 17A. Everyone who‘s been around here for longer than a few days knows that the letter part of the build number designates the point release.

A = x.0
B = x.1
... and so on.

The letter part does not always correspond with the point release. For example, macOS 10.1 was 5G64, and 10.1.1 was 5M28.

"Ah", you say, "but it gets incremented each time!" Nope, 10.1.3 was 5Q45, and 10.1.4 was 5Q125.

13.1 Beta being 17A could indicate that this is the year they go straight to 13.1 instead of 13.0.

It could. Or that 13.0 is a limited release, perhaps only for the 2019 iPhones.

Or it could simply indicate that the kernel doesn't change significantly between 13.0 and 13.1.

So it‘s one of these:
- 13.1 takes the place of the „buggy“ GM (with only new iPhones shipping with the buggy one cause they require 13 to run)

Maybe.

Background sort of moves relative to the way you're tilting your iPhone, check out current lock/home screen on your iPhone.;)

O/T but I wouldn't mind a GPS Lock of sorts. Philips Hue lights were al over the shop a few months back (on/off back on weird times) I checked Reddit, loadsa sites and they all recommended conflicting apps etc. All it simply was, was my GPS signal ping-ponging about randomly, not too far from my house & as I had location aware on, it affected it, turned off, problem solved!:D
I believe you’ve confused two Wallpaper features. What you’ve described is Perspective, not Dynamic Wallpaper. Perspective can be set in Settings > Wallpaper > Choose a New Wallpaper > Choose. When you select a wallpaper image you can then select Still, Perspective or Live Photo. Dynamic Wallpapers are available under the Choose option, along with Stills and Live. I hope this helps. :cool:

and what happens when you tap on the notification?
[doublepost=1566951220][/doublepost]

How so? What do you find confusing or impossible to use because it's too complex to understand?

No issues here with mail. The fact that you experience a bug does not mean that everyone else is.

The mail app has serious issues, it has been a complaint of many running the beta. I have issues with it as do the other two people I know running it, on all of our devices running the beta. I’ve seen it enough here and on reddit to show it’s not some isolated bug.

I sure that you guys are also providing feedback to Apple in regards to the bugs you guys are facing in these comments.

No we’re all just here to hoard all of our bugs because we love them.

I’ve submitted bugs for years. Hey I submitted bugs for a UI screwup on the iPad that, as far as I know, is STILL present in iOS 12. And this was from the last small redesign of iOS for the iPad.

There is a bug a have been reporting since iOS 7 and it is still present in iOS 13.

3. No idea what that means. Notification Center is just fine as it is.

Really? You can't DELETE a message/email/whatsapp from the notification itself in one step. Android has been doing this for years and years. How can notification center be fine as is?

I might as well add my theory to the mix

I’m guessing the .1 beta is just to show that the features that aren’t ready for the .0 release are still in development, so they don’t cop fallout like they did with airplay 2

Sure you can. 3D Touch, Trash

(OK, that's two steps. Are you suggesting the UI should be even more overloaded with widgets all over the place?)
