I seem to recall reading that it is supposed to be quite healthy, and - if memory serves - dandelion is also supposed to be a diuretic.

However, as to taste, I am unable to offer an opinion, informed, or otherwise.
I think I’ll stick with my tea. Already had three this morning.

A grey day in the UK. Not warm or cold. Just somewhere in the middle.

One heavy (warm weight wool) pullover, over a t-shirt, or two light weight merino pullovers? The dilemmas of a wet spring day.

At least, the equinox has passed, and the clocks have gone forward.

And there are daffodils (including some, in a vase, in my room) and cherry blossoms to be seen.

Can you read this or for some it’s behind a wall?

By Kelsey Abernathy McLean

“I Choked On A Piece Of Steak And Died. What I Saw While I Was Gone Changed How I Live My Life Now.
What I Saw In Those 3 Minutes Defies Language.”

I’ll give others a chance to read it before I post my experience.

Today is my first free day in three weeks, and it is pouring rain.

Well, such is life.

There are daffodils, (including in a vase, in my room, a gift from my assistant), there is cherry blossom.

And there is a massage booked for 14.30 today.........even the anticipation is a form of pure bliss.

Lights are on inside houses, hotels, coffee shops and apartments; an unusually dark and dreary day in this corner of Europe (although, admittedly, the past few days have been overcast and quite cold).

Sorry the weather isn’t playing ball. But apart from your message I’m imagining a coffee shop, a nice dinner and perhaps a walk around the old town.
Sound about right?

Pretty much, so, yes.

Nonetheless, it has been too wet for a coffee shop, or a walk around the centre, the old town, (which is where my hotel, a lovely, small, slightly quirky spot is to be found) which is a real pity, as it is my first free day in three weeks.

However, the weather does seem to be improving (or, perhaps I am simply being delusional), as the rain appears to be lessening. And I shall take an umbrella and my Barbour coat.

In any case, I shall head off to my massage shortly - I have a taxi booked; I shall see how matters are afterwards, as I always try to eat very lightly before a massage, and today, just had breakfast, which was hours ago.

Well enjoy your day off whatever you end up doing with the rest of your day.

I could do with a massage. Overdid the gardening yesterday. Just did an hour of weeding this morning, but it’s easier to keep on top of it than let them grow wild.

Well, my massage was wonderful, and I am attempting to arrange another for next week-end, a challenge, as the Easter holidays will be upon us.

And emails related to work arrived in my inbox, on my return, and, unfortunately, have had to be attended to.

Weight loss journey is going great for me, but I'm still stuck with 40 pounds I can't shake off. Walking, dieting, changing habits, changing what I drink, but nothing is moving the needle. I talked to my doctor and she said I could safely up the dose of Zepbound to 7.5mg, so we'll see what that does. But I'll tell you another thing: The season of Cadbury Cream Eggs doesn't help the cravings!

Cadbury cream eggs are too sweet for me. The mini eggs are nice though. But I’ve not had any Easter eggs for a decade. I’m probably on about 3-4 chocolate bars a year now.

I feel I'm headed that way as well… and that's because of price!

North of £4 for 90g? 😩
I now make every square last…
I eat chocolate rarely, and my pronounced preference (ever since I was a child) is for dark chocolate, as I never much cared for milk chocolate.

In any case, I use the argument of prices heading north, as you so eloquently describe it, as justification to only buy the good stuff, the really good stuff, and yes, will happily savour every last square.

What isn’t going up though? You should see some of the shipping costs at work. One product we being over from the US has gone from a 23% cost to cover shipping to 59%. That’s going to hit everyone’s pocket.

Glad I drive an EV as a friend was telling me he went to three garages yesterday to find diesel. He was down to 18 miles left. When he did find it, it was very expensive but what choice did he have?

Especially if you live in the countryside.

Country living requires access to one's own independent means of transport, - in the form of a car - as the available public transport is rarely sufficient when one resides anywhere outside a city centre, or the inner suburbs of such a city.

Like me this friend lives in the country.

One of the reasons I switched to an EV (and this month also Mrs AFB to one) is that we don’t have a 25 minute round trip to get petrol. Mrs AFB charges up on the drive once or twice a week. I charge up at work once a week. Much easier.

We get one or two buses a day in our village. But I’ve never used it. Probably never will tbh.

For what it is worth, I have heard of it, but I have never seen it, let alone tasted it.
Ditto.

I've also heard of dandlion tea and "coffee." Neither of which I've had.

I know I've seen articles talking about theoretical dandelion tea health benefits. Of course, there seemed to be the usual waffling, like "may help" and "additional studies are needed."

One or two buses a day are fine if all that you wish, or need, to do is to occasionally toddle or wander into the nearest town for some shopping, or to meet someone for a coffee or a beer.

However, for anything with a specific, set time (such as a medical appointment, or, a dental appointment, or, perish the thought, even a haircut), or a deadline, or something that demands you show up frequently and at set times, (most jobs), the sort of public transport available in rural areas is pitifully lacking and wholly inadequate for your needs.
