Do the people who've been fired get severance pay?
I actually do that now (well 7 months ago before I got imprisoned under lockdown in Manila), not great money but I really like it. Short term temping, never at one place longer than a week. Meet a lot of interesting people, always on the go. Arrive back in the UK November 12, 14 days quarantine then back to work as a temp again. really looking forward to it.
My daughter's 6th Birthday today. 4.45am and I have been up since 4am putting all her gifts on the sofa for when she wakes up. Think I am more excited than she is!
I think this is best suited to 'what is on your mind'. I am not one to buy the latest greatest that Apple has to offer. My rule is 'if it runs the latest software it is good enough'.
So I have an iPhone 6s, wife has 11 Pro and my daughters have 7. Yep I am the pauper. Daughters have the latest iPads me and the wife don't have iPads. Never saw the use case no USB port.
There is a 2TB Time Capsule tucked away in the cupboard doing backups and providing 5Ghz WiFi.
Big question is about the MacBook Airs. One is 2014 which I think will be upgradable to Big Sur but the other one is 2011 so no chance. The 11 inch Air really suited our needs perfectly but there is no option for that now. What should I do? This is really on my mind right now.

I suppose you could say whatever we post in any of the various forums is "on our minds". For your question, there's a good thread for Mac buying advice just like you're asking for.

The dogs are almost non-stop next door now, it’s so nice to hear something else.
Sorry to hear the dogs are playing up. Hope they quieten down for the weekend.
Work stuff on my mind this evening. Probably because I did another few hours after dinner this evening.
But at 5 past midnight it’s officially Saturday, so no work until Sunday for me now. Well work work. I’m sure there will be plenty of house work!
How are we going to look after 4 cats (2, 3 year olds that we already have and 2 kittens we’re about to get)...?

Just saw a Blue Jay hopping in our front tree. It was making the mew mew call. I hope it found something to eat.

Had an even better encounter with a Jay at lunchtime. 🥰 It swooped onto the overhang roof beneath our living room window. Hopped about for a bit then flew away. It was so close, saw its lavender and blue neck and crest plumage. Of course, my phone was upstairs. 🙄
Was so nice to see and hear them on a rainy day.
Keeping calm at work and with mom (It’s been a rough week for her). A little more than an hour to go at work today.
