Already we are starting to lose some of the vivid autumn colors in a few of the trees around the lake, while others have not yet even begun to turn yet; I read a recent article which suggests that worldwide climate shifts have more than likely something to do with it and also humans, with use of various chemicals and such (pesticides, etc.), not to mention tearing out areas of trees to build yet more homes and office buildings.

Ever woken up and just felt completely displaced from reality? My dreams last night were horrendous. I think I'll take a short little drive. My mental health seems to be bottoming out today.

Enjoy your drive.

The cloud cover is now full restored, alas.
Starting to get dark already. Clocks change next weekend.

As someone in the industry my take on it is that the 90s/early 2000s "web designer" is indeed a rare thing these days. For those type of sites (i.e. often "brochure" sites, basically a handful of static pages, maybe a contact form) there are indeed "no-code" options available.

The closest I can think of these days would be someone who does UI/visual design, and "front end" development, producing templates to be integrated the application logic.

Its ironic because websites is what most people deal with today, yet its getting harder to find a designer. Say you have a business, you will have difficult time searching for a web designer. My guess whatever exists today is someone who is willing to make an enterprise level website which is going to cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Thankfully in the US we have a bit more time to enjoy DST.... Our clocks don't change until the first Sunday in November, which this year falls on the 1st, the day after Hallowe'en.

Personally, I wish we'd just stick to daylight savings time all year around rather than this ridiculous flipping-back-and-forth twice a year. I'd rather it be lighter longer in the evenings when I'm actually awake and functioning as opposed to lighter in the mornings when I'm still snoozing away in my bed. That said, I do understand the rationale behind the current thinking and the difficulties faced by many who have to get up and out early in the mornings.....

Having a hot chocolate before an early night. Have a busy week ahead looking after a different team at work. Challenging but looking forward to it.

I can definitely think of some I hate more.

I can well imagine.

However, for me, the clock-going-back-weekend is one where my heart sinks, irrespective of whatever else is going on (good, bad, or indifferent) in my life at that time, simply because I deeply dislike (nay, detest) darkness, long nights, the cold, the wet, the endlessly depressing and poor light, of winter.

Now, there are personal reasons why I dislike the onset on winter, as well, but they serve to reinforce feelings - and responses - that are already in place.

What’s on my mind? I’ll tell you what’s on my mind; I’m wondering if I’m too old to make it as a world famous rock star? I’ve just bought an beautiful American Fender Stratocaster and have started playing again. I used to play years ago. I’m very much enjoying more time to read, to contemplate, to just “be” and not rush around as much. I feel like a new man!

I won’t give up my day job just yet but.....if you see an old bloke on TV “pickin’ n a grinin’” then it’s me! Now, where’s my sunglasses?

Congrats on the new Strat 💕🎸 - I bet it looks awesome and plays even more awesome - love that "quacky" strat sound !

I have an American Strat too - but like Mefisto I would love to add a Telecaster maybe one with the "f" hole - but sadly 💰 not in the budget for a while.

Here is a link to "Chord Namer" - I find it very useful and a big time saver for figuring out what the name of the chords I am using (I learned by ear and don't know the names of most of the chords I use) - it's really cool IMHO - just plug in the notes you are using on each fret and it tells you the name of the chord - no more searching chord charts

anyway - enjoy your new strat 👍

I feel ya.

For the last six months or so, I feel my dreams have been very prominent, and thus have me waking up exhausted, as if I have 'worked' during the night...

Enjoy your hot chocolate; this is the time of year when I start to think of such delights.

A nice Sunday evening BBQ with my wife and her son. Timing worked out to BBQ between the rain showers. Good food, wine and conversation.

There is no better way to enjoy a meal.

Stress related I'd bet. Then on my drive with windows down, a wasp flew into my left eye. Thankfully it didn't sting me somehow. Though hilariously, my husband who is law enforcement had to bring me an eye wash because my eye was burning. Then a few people who live in our small city were asking why he pulled me over on Facebook.

I am done with 2020.
