Coffee sounds very gourmet when you guys talk about it. Shame I can't drink it. Only herbal teas too. No caffeine for me, good thing I'm already wide awake all the time.
Nothing wrong with a good herbal tea. I partake on occasion. I need to regulate my coffee drinking to before 1 pm or it inevitably will be a late night for me.

Apparently the successor to Catalina will be arriving soon.
Looks like MacBook Pro laptops earlier than late 2013 will be in the dog house.😫

Why can't dealerships answer such simple questions about a transmission? I'm so stressed over physical pain, bills, and politics that being unable to get what should be simple questions answered has me in tears. I'm just tired.

Will they stop treating me like I'm an idiot because I'm asking about fluid, workmanship warranties, if I'd need to change the filter and pan gasket? Is the filter mesh or not? Why is that so hard to answer really?

Edit: Now my Apple cord is done and I have no other USB-C to lightening cables. My iPad does not charge on any other of my other bricks. *Sigh*

Huh? Are you asking these questions while in the process of buying a new car or are you asking them in the midst of some issue with your current car? I recently bought a new car (first one in fifteen years!) and it definitely was a surprise in a lot of ways when it comes to the changes in technology and such. At one point I asked the salesman about how often I should change the oil, as I'm used to the "every 3000 miles or 3 months" mantra....and was surprised when he said, "your car will tell you." Uh...OK..... As far as asking about transmission fluids and such, that is already beyond my knowledge and skill set anyway, so I didn't inquire about that! (The vehicle is automatic, but does have a way in which I can also drive it in Manual, but I probably won't do that. It's a nice feature to have, though. Presumably this has some impact on the transmission and need for fluid, but if so, I have no clue one way or the other.). In the end I arrived at the conclusion that my new car is smarter than I am and indeed she will tell me when she needs some sort of maintenance done. In the meantime I'm sure enjoying driving her!

I live off juice and Gatorade if I'm not drinking water. Herbal tea is really nice for when I can't sleep, especially if it's cold outside. I do miss tea with caffeine. Sweet tea and Texas go hand in hand. My mom used to make sun tea and I'd drink it warm.

I'm glad I never was big in drinking soda before my heart condition made me unable to have caffeine.

My current vehicle (13' Toyota Yaris). I can't even imagine the complications of anything newer than mine. I got one of the least technical and overbearing vehicles at the time. My car can also be driven manually.

It really was a bit overwhelming the first several days, let me tell you!!! I was unprepared for all of the new changes and the new additions to the car's technology, and I still kind of giggle every time I press the button to start her up rather than insert a key into the ignition! I'm loving this now that I'm getting used to all the new stuff, but yeah, it was disconcerting, to say the least! I spent three nights poring over the manual as my bedtime reading...... The last time I had bought a new car was back in 2005, and it was simply a matter of adjusting the mirrors and the seat, setting up a couple of presets for the radio stations and sticking a CD into the CD player.... THIS time was vastly different! Wow! A backup camera, Apple CarPlay, BT, automatic this and automatic that..... Whew....!!!

I set my text-to-speech to Siri Male voice instead of "Alex" . I dont know what black magic tech. companies do but this sounds like a real human reading to me.

We take too much for granted, reminds me if the first Macintosh unveil.

I despise websites (especially news related) that blast videos (esp. ads) at full volume when you load their homepage. It's should be illegal, almost death penalty stuff.

Agreed.

And - since I suffer from occasional (but severe) migraines - I hate and despise not only their loud full volume ads, - a veritable assault upon the auditory senses - but their jerky, loud, horribly animated, moving, ads.

In general, as a soppy, dripping wet, liberal, I do not favour the death penalty, but, in a virtual (and vivid) world of my imagination, I am prepared to consider a couple of exceptions to this.

The whole point (well, most, or much, of the point) of coffee is the caffeine.

An espresso without caffeine is a contradiction in terms.

There is much truth to this observation.

By way of contrast, much of Asia doesn't really "get" coffee, but can offer superb tea.

And then, there are a few countries with an ambience or culture where they produce (and serve) both superb tea and coffee, or "get" (and serve) and grow superb tea and coffee (In this context, Turkey and Kenya come to mind).

Blasphemy.

Look what I (randomly) found on The Babylonbee store: https://shop.babylonbee.com/collections/most-popular/products/mugs-2

I need to take advantage of the nice weather we're having and clean my storm doors and sliding door on the deck before the cold weather sets in. Can't really get to the windows on the outside because the side that faces the lake is too high up from the ground and I don't have a long ladder. The windows on the front of the building are hard to get at because of thick bushes right beneath them. However, that doesn't prevent me from cleaning all the windows on the inside!
