this. when in the chair, sometimes the MUA needs an arm or hand for specific make up (fake bruises, blood, zombie bites, open wounds, body paint, etc).
Backstage for runway shows there is always a nail tech running around doing mani touch ups, and it's important to be able to be free one handed so you can check the time, updates, etc.
Same goes for trying to eat during craft services and brush up on your lines/scenes/next location/appointment/schedule.

The life of an actor/model is rough. The struggle is real. #firstworldproblems.
Or if I'm texting someone any information on the call sheet.
#hollywoodproblems.

I thought I'd have trouble texting with the Plus one-handed, but it hasn't been an obstacle at all. If anything the landscape keyboard has been harder to get used to with two thumbs.

Or if I'm texting the 2nd AD while at the same time knocking on actor/model's trailer door to tell them they're ready on set.
This list could go on and on, really.

So you are sticking with the 5s?
I have the 6. I'm 6'2". Pretty good sized hands.
The 6+ was a hair too big. I could do one handed on it, but not without some shifting of the phone. That just seemed like a drop waiting to happen at some point.

Yeah the 6 should work out for you. Just interested in seeing how many people who must have a one handed phone are staying with the 5s as the 6 is a pretty tough to be called a one handed phone.

My wife is 5'3", and has tiny, cute, widdle hands. She's getting the 5s.

Yeah my wife's 6+ is coming Tuesday. First she decided she wants gold over the black so have to work on that. Then she says my 6+ is a good size for her.............I'll be surprised if she sticks with it after a week or so.

She also made fun of my work phones which have been Notes.

The 6+ is difficult to use one handed. I have had to re-adjust how I use it. Not being able to use it one handed has not proved to be a huge obstacle though and I gladly accept the trade off I have to make for the benefits. It certainly is not a phone for everyone though

You do have to adjust to the size. I hated my Note when I first got it. As time when buy and my habits changed when I went back to my personal iPhone I missed the extra size of the Note.

Again, depends on the person. I'm six feet, hundred sixty five. No trouble using the Plus one handed when I need to.

Part of the reason, other than her toddler hands, is she has a $100 Apple gift card from getting a MBA a couple weeks ago, and since the 16 GB 5s is $99, it's nothing out of our pocket besides taxes.

The original iPhone was 4.53 x 2.40 x 0.46 in
The iPhone 6 is 5.44 x 2.64 x .27

So it's only about 1 inch taller, a little wider and half as thick.

Basically only the really short girls with really small hands have a tough time using a 6.

Thanks. It was to replace her three year-old Toshiba notebook that just up and decided to die one day.
Meanwhile, my five year-old MBP was still going strong....

Lol I was thinking she got her masters. Hey a MacBook Air is something to be proud of :D

A little width and one inch will make a big difference for a good bit of people. I'm sure they will make it work but it will take some adjustment.

That was my take too. The 6 is easy for me to one hand. The Plus I have to shift. Not impossible, but different.

If you travel and much as I do (internationally 300 days a year) then moving through airports etc with bags in tow, catching up on work emails etc, one handed use is a must.. Having said that I now have a 6plus as a big screen is also great when working like this. Guess I will just have to grow my fingers.

The extra battery life with the Plus should also be good for when you are traveling.
