Why do so many people care about being able to use their phone one handed. Apart from phone calls, in which of course you want to be able to hold your phone up to your with one hand.

Maybe it's because I already have smaller hands for a guy. To me, even the 5s is awkward to use one handed. It'll be a little more awkward with the 6 plus, but not impossible. Most of the time, though, I use it two-handed.

Because people need to use their phones one handed. How do people not understand this?

How do you expect to dial a number and call someone with a coffee in your hand if you can't use your phone 1 handed?

The extra battery life with the Plus should also be good for when you are traveling.

Yes it is. I use to have a mophie case on the 5s as the battery life was pretty bad. But I think the 6plus should be ok. Might pick up a mophie juice pack just in case. But most planes these days have USB power.

Allow me to answer for some of the know-it-all busybodies participating in this thread:

Holding a cup of coffee in one hand while using a phone in the other is either: a) irresponsible and dangerous, or b) demonstrates that you have an unhealthy addiction to your phone.

I would say yes. If you will not put down your phone to drive, brush your teeth, or some other examples I've seen.....I would say it borders an unhealthy addiction. At the same time I do understand where some need smaller phones.

This may come as a revolutionary concept but I'm pretty sure most people would put the cup of coffee down, thereby temporarily freeing the other hand to operate the phone. They would then pick the cup of coffee back up and continue drinking after dialing was complete.

In today's age of multi-tasking, this is probably asking the impossible.

So what do you do if you're standing in the middle of a hallway smart ass?

One handed use is important when you're driving and you need to quickly open maps, enter an address, and get directions.

Watch the road, it's more important.
Have your passenger do all that crap that you're not supposed to do, like be on your phone while managing a motorized vehicle.

That is all.

I'd probably use these things called "legs." You may have heard of them?

That IS a great idea!

Whatever makes you feel better, dude.

I'll just be over here using my phone whenever. You keep telling your friends to wait up for you while you finish your text.

Okay. I'm sure that putting down a cup of coffee will probably take me a couple hours. Thanks for the warning.

If you are with friends be with them and respond to the message when you get time.

Apparently we have an unhealthy addiction for texting friends with other friends.

God forbid if I am trying to tell them where I am or where I will be.

Then stop and tell them. It isn't a life or death issue. This need to be connected to everyone every second is just crazy to me.

It matter cuz I don't always have 2 hands open. Like when eating. Or when doing other things. Like homework write with one hand phone in the other.

Then why do you own a $700+ phone?

Because I can. I love that the phone works when I need it too. iOS has not failed me from the very first iPhone. I love the 3rd party support with fitness products.

Believe me I have to carry two phones with me everyday. If I could leave them at home I would do it in a second. I miss the days where I couldn't be reached 24/7.

Ha! So true. When people say that you "adjust to the size" they really mean that they give up doing certain things. You can "adjust" to wearing tight pants, driving a bus, or wearing snow boots, but that doesn't mean it's a good size.

Anyway, this argument has already been settled in the android world. The smaller Galaxy S series outsells the Note series. Because for most people convenience trumps the worst of both worlds (uncomfortable phone + too small tablet).
