Then stop and tell them. It isn't a life or death issue. This need to be connected to everyone every second is just crazy to me.

Classic. This thread has gone from people arguing the merit of one-handed phone usage into a diatribe against modern-day culture.

Oh please, like using a cell phone while driving is breaking news.

Then your an idiot with no care for people's lives including your own, you should not be on the road and I hope if you have an accident that it's not too serious and hopefully you will wake up from your moronic, careless and selfish behaviour.

Ha! So true. When people say that you "adjust to the size" they really mean that they give up doing certain things.

Not true. You're making generalizations. I "adjusted" to the 6 Plus and haven't given up anything. I use it one handed for everything I used my 5 one handed for. Depends on who you are. Try not to generalize.

For example. Right now I'm eating a handful of goldfish crackers and typing simultaneously. Also, I like to use my phone on the toilet and find it gross to touch anything without washing hands. That's why.

Great examples. Me? Sometimes I need to pet my cat while I play Words with Friends, so obviously I have no choice but to stick with my 4S and flame Apple at every opportunity.

Wouldn't call it a diatribe but more of an observation.

IDK man but if you take the subway one handing a phone is important, never mind holding a coffee in the other hand.

He's trying to make a point, obviously his statement doesn't apply to you but it does for others.

Walking through the airport with a rollaboard to pull up my boarding pass, etc. Airports are all about efficiency, the person who stops in the middle of the airport to fiddle with their phone gets run over

Watch the road, it's more important.
Have your passenger do all that crap that you're not supposed to do, like be on your phone while managing a motorized vehicle.

That is all.
Thanks internet mom.
Also, what passenger? Should I pick up a hitch hiker?

You can do that with one hand on a 6 Plus even if you have average or slightly below average sized hands.

I tend to agree since I have average size hands and have no trouble using the phone one handed to text and whatnot, but it is a matter of the individual. For some it doesn't work no matter how big their hands are.

Wow a couple of you need to step back from your pedestal and take a break! I've never heard so much bashing in one thread...

OP asked for instances of people using their phones 1 handed and when people reply they get attacked?

This was posted as I was brushing my teeth.

Texting and carrying on an inane conversation whilst driving on the highway and entering an address into maps or selecting from a list of addresses Siri has provided whilst at a red light are not the same thing.

Let's get real here.

In some countries, like mine, it is illegal to hold your phone while behind the wheel and for good reason. I see too many people not pay attention to the traffic light because they are looking at their phone.

Stop on a parking spot if you need to use your phone

Ok, yes, people use their phones while driving.. And while it's illegal, and dumb, it happens.

I ride a motorcycle, and I got rear ended at a stop light and tossed on her hood and part way up her windshield because why? Oh, she was texting, and didn't see the light turn red... Really? Cmon. Luckily I wasn't hurt too bad and had all my gear on. My bike and my gear on the other hand didn't survie the ordeal. My swing arms totally bent. Frame cracked, fairing completely cracked and in pieces. Handle bars bent to hell. Her windshield was cracked from my helmet and my bike was halfway into the intersection when the whole thing was done. It kinda gives you an idea of how hard she hit me. I could've easier been hurt far worse or even killed if my head twisted a certain way when It collided with her windshield.

We could argue all day that people shouldn't use their phone and drive, but it still happens. And it's stupid because I was a victim of such ignorance.

Moral of the story, just don't f***in do it. You could easily kill someone.

Now.. The topic at hand. I use my iPhone 6 one handed, but am willing to give that up for a better experience with ha bigger screen. And still, I think the plus is capable of one handed activities.

Why do you ride a motorcycle? Don't you know how dangerous those things are? And you ought to know, seeing as you got in an accident riding on one.

But don't drive a car, because those things are bad for the environment. Public transportation is much better, but it's not perfect either. I recommend going for a nice walk. Or just stay home.

Make sure while you're home that you don't eat butter or fat. That's bad for you. Don't eat animals, either. That's awful! What did they do to you?

What was this thread about again? Oh, one-handed use of the iPhone. Yeah, you don't need to do that. What's so important that you can't wait a while until you can safely use both hands? Better yet, what's so important that you can't just read about it in the morning paper the next day? And you're better off not owning a phone, anyway, since you ought to be spending more time with your kids.

Rather crass to trivialize his comments, don't you think? Especially when we know that texting and driving is an absolutely boneheaded thing to do?

I wasn't trivializing his comments. I was making fun of the ridiculous comments that several others have posted in this thread. The fact that I have to clarify this further calls into question the intelligence of the two-handers.

Does no one use voice to text? The only thing that I may ever absolutely need to do at that moment that I can't do on a plus one handed is text. So if I don't have 2 hands available but I really need to reply to something I use voice to text. And now you can even send an audio text, which gives 2 options for 1 handed texting on a 6+.

Thanks internet mom.

You're. You're an idiot.

Yes, that's right, even though you are putting lives at risk over a text message or the best route to the nearest whatever it's actually me thats the idiot for a grammatical error.

They should take more than just your license to drive off you.
