For me the best feature is real multitasking, done in a very intelligent way that saves battery. When 3rd party apps start taking advantage of that we will really understand what it means. I am tired of having to start an app to initiate a sync for example. I don't like it.

Also, notification sync is great news.

iCloud Keychain together with the ability to make Safari store credentials even when Websites do not allow that, is really great.
Control Center is a nice feature, but I never had a problem going to the settings app to enable/disable something.
The new today view in notification center is also a nice touch.
I also love the new multi-page folders.
Someone said here that the new interface is not a feature. I disagree. The new user interface is fresh, modern and much better than before. It gives apps more space to show content and it doesn't get in the way, since it uses less chrome.
I also like the new Mail.app better than before, especially the ability to add subfolders in the home screen of the app. Saves me a lot of time.
I haven't tried Airdrop yet, I would like to be able to transfer files between OS X and iOS, but I guess the problem is that iOS doesn't allow access to files from all apps, so AirDrop is app specific.
I also like the Shared Links feature in Safari. It almost makes me not wanting to check my twitter feed with a dedicated app, since I can see all links in Safari.
Overall, iOS 7 has a lot of new features that I like a lot.

I think the UI update is the killer feature. Albeit a pretty weak killer feature.

You could argue other things, but the UI is what everyone will be talking about on day 1. Overall it's sort of sad.

The Apis which will allow devs to take apps to the next level are the killer feature.

I don't believe there is a killer OS feature (as yet).

All of the main improvements are catch-up unfortunately.

The change I use the most, by far, is the swipe right to go back feature in Safari.

Very useful.

An iOS 6 theme would be the ultimate feature. **** iOS 7.
Lol. :D Design can't be perfect for everyone, of course. It's true that iOS 6 had a beautiful interface, but it's not timeless. There had to come an update, after Windows Phone becoming so popular. We'll get used to it. You can compare it with the Facebook timeline thing: everyone hated it, but once everyone had it, people got used to it.

Are you calling parallax, new UI etc. features? LOL... iOS itself is pretty boring, still based on old 2007's OS. Look, even BB10 made many changes that really benefits users. The new BlackBerry Hub, new predictive keyboard, camera enchainments, separation of work account and personal account. Also look at Android, adding multi-user support, Google now etc.

Look what iOS brings? A map that guides you to nowhere, Siri is still in beta after 2 years and still not that useful, control centre should be there years ago. iOS adds ZERO improvements on usability but tons if market gimmicks. No wondering even iOS add so many "features" users still gets bored quickly

I don't think iOS's airdrop will work with OS X. At least not now.
I'm guessing you don't know the meaning of the word feature if you do not think control center is a feature. You call iOS a gimmick but then praise android. Why are you still on these forums when all you do is bash apple?

Want to bet?

quick reply isn't just some throwaway feature. They would have to test it, most likely in betas. We'll be lucky if we get it in 7.1, other than that you can ask this question next year.

Yes, the "Activation Lock" is catching up with all Android and Windows 8 activation lock features... Oh wait

It will probably just be the redesign, in general, with a highlight on Control Centre etc.

Unless something big is brewing re a fingerprint scanner or whatever.

I didn't realize that a 3% market share constituted "becoming so popular." :)

You're right, but those are just statistics anyway. What I mean is that Windows Phone introduced some new idea's concerning the interface of a mobile OS, which made the look of iOS 6 a bit outdated. I'm not a fan of Windows Phone at all though, but I think Apple has done the right thing. Maybe they changed too much at once, but the change itself was needed IMO.

I agree with that. For the most part (some colors and icons notwithstanding), I really like the new UI.

I think it's hard to think of a single feature, but there are heaps of features here unlike in most other major iOS releases that I guess this itself is the "deal" about iOS 7. That is, an OS with no features I "must have", but one I can't see myself skipping.

If I have to choose, I think Safari. So many new features in iOS 7 Safari that it's even hard to forget some despite being major! I may stop using LastPass thanks to the iCloud password sync, and then there's the Chrome style unified address/search bar, the improved suggestion bar, and the history swipes.

Edit: Automatic app updates is also a cool feature that I easily forget. So many small things in iOS 7, again. Yes, I realize Android has those, but that's not my point since I don't use Android. :p

If the rumors are true, will see in a few weeks, Pages, Numbers and Keynote are supposed to be free in iOS 7, don't know if it could be an only feature to the iPhone 5S or for all supported devices of iOS 7.

Again, not a killer feature, iOS 7 more like a package that you must have.

Fingerprint unlock will probably be the iPhone 5S secret feature

The sad thing about this is it's lost on anyone who doesn't lock their phones. Which I would imagine is the majority of people.

What would be cool is if the fingerprint scanner had other functions such as heart rate monitor or game control input. Have Siri react to any biometrics that the scanner can recognize. THEN it would be a more likely killer feature.

I haven't been using iOS 7 so I don't know a lot about it but I do like that they've finally added a way to quickly turn on and off WiFi without having to go into Settings all the time.
