I don't think we will see quick reply in iOS 7 sadly.

iOS 8 however, should bring in quick message reply and multiple apps in one screen. That would be great.

I'm guessing you don't know the meaning of the word feature if you do not think control center is a feature. You call iOS a gimmick but then praise android. Why are you still on these forums when all you do is bash apple?

Control centre is a feature. But it is long overdue. Most of all big features on iOS 7 are either gimmick or directly copy from somewhere else. How useful is parallax?

Multi-page folder has been there forever on jailbreak community, card view multitasking has been forever since WebOS, Safari card view is directly copy from Chrome. I don't need go on.

The problem is at iOS gains zero useful functionality wise improvement. 6 years down the road, users still cannot upload document from browser. Try to upload a resume when you applying for a job or try to upload a PDF document on course webpage.

iOS cannot just relying on number of app forever. Eventually Android or Windows Phone will have more or equal amount of good apps. What would Apple advertise then?

Those are tasks for a PC, not a smart phone and tablet, tablets are not a replacement for a computer. If it bothers you that much then leave ya know.

Wow, the BB10 as an example? Why? Because it sells so well, NOT. Because the company is doing so well, NOT.
Are they still paying you to troll?

Are you calling parallax, new UI etc. features? LOL... iOS itself is pretty boring, still based on old 2007's OS. Look, even BB10 made many changes that really benefits users. The new BlackBerry Hub, new predictive keyboard, camera enchainments, separation of work account and personal account. Also look at Android, adding multi-user support, Google now etc.

Look what iOS brings? A map that guides you to nowhere, Siri is still in beta after 2 years and still not that useful, control centre should be there years ago. iOS adds ZERO improvements on usability but tons if market gimmicks. No wondering even iOS add so many "features" users still gets bored quickly

I don't think iOS's airdrop will work with OS X. At least not now.

Control centre is a feature. But it is long overdue.

Does that mean it doesn't exist?

Most of all big features on iOS 7 are either gimmick or directly copy from somewhere else.

And you'll conveniently ignore everything that doesn't fit in these two groups. Or try to shoehorn them in. :D

How useful is parallax?

Not everything has to be utilitarian.

Multi-page folder has been there forever on jailbreak community,

Which probably means its useful.

card view multitasking has been forever since WebOS, Safari card view is directly copy from Chrome. I don't need go on.

Well, except that WebOS card view is directly copied from the Safari card view on the original iPhone. Isn't this game fun?

The problem is at iOS gains zero useful functionality wise improvement.

And you'll ignore any evidence to the contrary.

6 years down the road, users still cannot upload document from browser. Try to upload a resume when you applying for a job or try to upload a PDF document on course webpage.

Your pet feature request isn't the difference between useless and useful. Most people use things for what they can do.

iOS cannot just relying on number of app forever. Eventually Android or Windows Phone will have more or equal amount of good apps. What would Apple advertise then?

 Probably whatever advantages they have at the time.

Are u suggesting that market share deciding a good OS? Then OS X is pretty bad OS... Single digit maerket share wordwide, iOS share is far away than Android. So is iOS a bad OS?

Aren't Apple think iPad is the Post-PC device that gonna replace PC? If they think that is the case, then they'd better do it soon than later

----------

Lol.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IOS_7#Version_history:_portable_iOS_devices

No one is forcing you to use iOS. All I've seen you do is sit here and complain about it like something is gonna change. Go use Android.

I switch to Android phone long time ago, and I am about to switch to Android tablet. Only thing hold me back is several asp I am using daily are not available on Abdroid.

You can suggest each users who aren't happy with current iOS switch until you have enough users switched than Apple is really in trouble just like BlackBerry.

YOU think the iPad is supposed to replace a computer. Nobody types college papers on their tablet, i haven't heard of anyone that downloads music to their tablet, there are pros and cons to pcs and tablets.

I have seen people type paper on tablet, i certainly did with bluetooth keyboard. I also tried downloads music to their tablet if i cam across a music that I like. People might only bring iPad during their vocation, so they an upload some files.

And what is the harm on implementing such feature to the connivence of users? People think copy and paste is not need on a phone, but what happened. People think multi-tasking is not needed, but Apple still implemented.

1. Before iOS 3, copy & paste was considered not useful. Before iOS 4, people think nobody multi-tasking on their phone. Before iOS 7, people think control centre is not needed. BUT all of them turns out to be killer feature for each iOS release. The point I am making is that Apple is always late on implementing all needed features. iOS has been so stall and the while iOS still around 2007's thinking.

2. How does Safari's card view even close to multi-tasking card view? It is like a bike company suing car company for using a tire. These two serves complete different functionalities and purpose.

3. "Most people use things for what they can do." Except what they can do are so limited making the whole OS old. And no, new UI doesn't make iOS new. It is like painting a 50 years old house new, but the house is still old.

Imaging you go travel somewhere for a month only with your iPad. You find a good job, then you trying to apply for it and you can't upload your resume because Safari doesn't let you do it.

4. "Probably whatever advantages they have at the time." So far, i can't think anything beside better app selection.

my question would be why are you applying for a job on vacation?

Why can't you apply for a job on vocation? You might thinking leaving for the current job and then you come across a good job posting... It is quite possible.

I mean even if you are not applying for a job, there is always a possibility that you need upload files to a particular website. For example, student might need upload a PDF files to school's course website. Something like that.

That's what a laptop is for. And if "someone going on vacation to find a job" is the only valid example you can give, then it just shows how limited your argument really is.

Didn't I give an example of student upload file to course page? Our University need to that all the time. I still remember old days where people thinking copy and paste isn't useful and think Apple will never implement such useless feature. I can still find bunch threats on MacRumors talking about how useless copy and past and arguing their ass off for such stupid reason. I still remember before iOS 4, bunch of people here arguing people don't multi-taskin on their phone and how it is a waste of battery life. I still remember bunch of people think control venter is bad idea. All you people think just because these features aren't there in iOS that automatically aren't useful. I will be laughing hard when Apple actually include a Files.app or adding ability to upload files directly from Safari.

I don't understand why you guys think adding these future would like a huge harm to Apple or defends Apple to death.

I don't want carry a phone, a tablet, a laptop with me. I want a device that can handle these task with easy.

----------

My question is, how can you afford a vacation without a job?? LOL

Maybe you having a job and consider switch a job? Maybe you have saving for a vocation? Maybe you have a part-time job and looking for a full time job? Maybe he/her company is laying off people and you start look for a job?

When Apple created the iPad, they didn't design it to replace a laptop. They designed it so that it would precisely fit in the niche between a smart phone and a laptop. I'm a student in University too, and I'd be damned out of my mind to rely on an iPad for school work. And if you do rely on a tablet for school, then it's your own damn fault when you can't do everything you want/need/expect for school. To use products, you have to first understand how they work and have the correct expectations of them. And if you don't want to carry a phone, a tablet, and a laptop, then just take the laptop. You can do everything that phones and tablets can do on a laptop, and more.

And to be honest, there are products that probably fit in every niche there are, so how about instead of trying to force a product to change to your liking, find another product that fits your needs better.

It is unbelievable how far some of you guys will go to defend Apple. What if I wanted to upload a photo of my vacation to a photography contest? DPReview challenges come immediately to mind. Would that be legitimate enough for you?

I could and I will. I probably will get an Android tablet. Too bad, I will go for Nexus 7 instead of iPad Mini 2. I know iPad Mini 2 will be sell a lot. But I am almost giving up on iOS.

Also to consider that 75% of Apple's profit came from iOS devices, with iOS became this stall, it is kind danger for Apple. It is not I am complain anything, it is about worrying Apple might be next BlackBerry or Microsoft.

LOL... Apple really does have people like you blindly follow whatever they do and defend Apple to the death... I really mean that. I cannot understand what is the harm on Apple to get these feature on iOS? You are the people defending Apple for not having copy and paste, not having multitasking and so on. There probably more users like me switch to Android and Apple will probably face seriously facing challenges from Android or other serval years down the road. iOS decline is already start showing and it is going to be only faster decline if Apple keeps its stalled iOS

Not just picture. What if I have to submit a report to government agency on government site?
