Keep in mind, Apple ships from China, via a carrier (UPS, FEXEX, etx.), to that carriers local distribution center in your country, then it's delivered. What that usually means is, when your order says "Preparing to Ship", it indeed has already shipped from China. It will flip to "Shipped" when the package has arrived in it's destination country from China and is now at the shippers distribution hub. Apple likes to hide that it's coming from China, direct to you.

My credit card was charged on Sunday, and delivery status is preparing to ship with a delivery date of May 21-27. Located in a major Canadian city, and ordered within an hour of pre-orders going live.

Every launch product I've purchased from Apple has shown it originating in China in the tracking info so I'm not sure that's the reason. To your point though, I do think they wait to give you a tracking number until it arrives stateside, that makes sense because it would be somewhat pointless to check before that since delivery wouldn't be imminent yet.

Anyone in Australia got a notice yet?

The website was showing no stock 5 mins after launch so I ordered with Harvey Norman only to find it was a website issue and they were in stock. If it doesn’t come on Friday and they have them in stock I may pick one up from the Apple store on Saturday as I’m in the area.

Does Apple release the Apple TV on the 21st, and everyone else on the 24th? I was gonna order more somewhere else. And Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy all said they won’t have any available till the 24th. The earliest. Which is when they claim they can release the new device to the public.

In the UK and ordered within 2 mins of preorders going live and although email said delivery between 21-27th May, status has always said delivers 27th.

Bank started showing a pending payment yesterday (17th) but still showing as 27th. Hoping for a 21st delivery date.

Charged but still says May 28th and not preparing for shipping yet. But pretty certain my two black pucks will arrive before the 28th.

My remote UK order is still showing as 27th and processing. Hoping to get it this weekend if the other orders are all shipping this weekend!

Uk here. Moved to ‘preparing to ship’ and payment still pending on my bank account.

Still says delivery May 27th though but hopefully for a Friday delivery.

Placed my order on monday the 3rd, credit card was charged today, status just changed to preparing to ship.
Delivery date to Austria so far May 27th - June 4th

both payments (for the Apple TV and the remote) are now reserved on my CC, and Apple TV moved to "Preparing to ship", no change yet on the remote. It still says delivery on the 28th. But I reckon it will be much sooner than that. Starting to get some hope for a Friday/Saturday delivery.
