Update: Since the files were found on www.qoid.us I found a post on another website that said to setup a web server with IP as "152.22.252.87"

I changed my network IP scheme, setup web server on my file server.

Went to install jailbreak for 4.3.3 and the results are....fail. Instead of 403 (forbidden error) I get a 404 error so I'm guessing something still isn't right.

I did find that the directory structure was www.qoid.us/d/

Put JB files in /d/ directory and still get 404 error.

Edit: Another html files gives me this as the requested URL "Requested URL http://www.qoid.us:80/d/saffron/saffron-jailbreak-iPad1,1-8J3.deb" Setting up directory structure now and testing.

Edit2: Safari crashed, tried again...same 404 error. Phooey.

uhh, what?

uhm..what the heck?

Okay this is weird. I googled jailbreakme, clicked on www.jailbreakme.com and twice in the last hour, the page comes up to swipe the jailbreak, and it says "Comex et al. I didn't want to do anything because I'm not sure if it is real or not, and when I went back a little later, it came up with the page of code on it again. I went to it on my iphone 3gs, haven't had a chance to go on my ipad2 yet. Is that weird or what?

No, it's not weird....
It's just that sometimes you are redirected to the 'old' 2.0 jailbreak site.
Look at the url, it says 'star' at the end.
Nothing new, just something that pops up every few sites in this thread since someone new thinks this is "the sign" or something

It was a long way (thanks for quoting the whole post, btw) to say he failed.

Some people can't get enough of stealing other people's work.

I didn't steal it, I found it. Someone else stole it, I'm just trying to get it to work. I'm jealous of the other people that got to jailbreak and then sore saurik/comex blocked it. Let us brick our devices, we bought em, just put a disclaimer that you're not responsible. There's that thing we have called DFU mode :O to restore to default if we brick it. That's hard coded into the device.

Geohot would release and then fix his issues on the fly.

That's amusing...
"officer i didn't steal the money, i just found it from the one that stole it in the first place....."
Bad analogy.

"You wouldn't download a pizza" You bet your ass I would if I could!

Technically the files weren't stolen either. If you host files on a page without securing it that's on you.

"Officer this money was left in an insecure open location in which you, me, anyone could've just picked up the bag. I am currently counting the money, that's not against the law."

Especially your second sentence simply shows that you make a difference between intellectual and physical property.
And well, i don't...

Just because it is been hosted on a site does not mean that any one can take the files, and much less distribute them... Honestly, I think that is a violation of copyright laws... Sure, eventually they will be released, but they had not. They are not public files until they rightful owner releases them...

So this face -> cannot be saved and distributed? The image file is hosted here.

If iTunes got hacked and the payment screen was bypassed, he'd be the one to download all the music and claim it was there for the taking, so he took. LOL

Don't waste your words. Thieves have always rationalized their actions.

Why would I download from iTunes when I get my songs free anyway lol. After watching MTV Cribs I don't feel so bad for doing it.

Funny comment, but I guess it's fair if your music collection is full of Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, and Willow Smith... haha...

But remember, for every 1 successful recording artist there are almost 1,000 starving artists.

I also agree that Comex shouldn't have had the PDF files online. He has 150,000 followers. Someone was bound to find them. That person was Saiz.
