I'm starting to think if the leak yesterday was availible for all versions of the iPad 2, everyone would be happy.

I'm still not sure why you haven't been banned from this site yet. You obviously don't even deserve an account to post with. Do us all a favor and delete this account too, like you did with all the rest.

Not everyone checks this forum. They also might patch new iPads.

PDF exploits compromise the security of iOS and must be patched immediately. There could be an iPad malware based off this.

He was only a few days off from releasing anyway. It was gonna be patched soon anyway so it makes no difference. Plus if a random person found that site, I'm sure apple and their far superior tech skills probably got their hands on it too.

Not ashamed. I realized that most of the people that were made were the people who couldnt jailbreak. Everyone on 4.3.0 seemed to love me. I don't feel bad cause I'm jailbroken and that's all I wanted. Sucks to be you and upgraded ur iPad.

No man, you know what, it sucks to be you.

Your a dishonorable person who got a boner for10 minutes by releasing a beta program, without permission and surely only for the brief attention you got. Your basically a selfish and clearly self serving person by even your own account.

I do believe you have lost a respect on the forum, if you had any in the first place, that is.

i would put money on the majority of folks here voting to have you banned for life which is what you deserve for your reckless and juvinile behavior.

Well I guess we can still downvote his posts into oblivion and just discredit all his future posts...although everyone now knows he's a complete tool anyway.

If apple had stole it comex would have sued f@*k out of them.

Why would I get banned? I did not break any forum rules. All I did was take a file from a public website (comex's site) and upload it to my website and made a video. I would have never got the file if Comex did not have it online. It's not like I broke into his house and stole it from the hard drive. It was publicly available to EVERYONE on the Internet.

The only person I feel bad for is Comex because I ruined his "grand release." If Comex truly had a jb for 4.3.1 and above it would be out by now. I suggest you all reconsider what you believe Comex has.

jailbreak is working on iPad 2 4.3.2 verizon 64gb

If I leave my car on a public street and forget to lock the door, is it legal to take it?

Just because someone does not protect their belongings properly doesn't give you the right to take them.

Don't fret. Not your fault, will. Comex doesn't even seem to mind.

I see no rule on Macrumors that state "Do not leak betas of jailbreaks!".

The levels of bitterness here are ridiculous.

Not necessarily. A huge reason why I am ticked, besides your attitude, is what you did to Comex who has been working hard on getting this out. You leak a bugged version of it, too.

Who the hell do you think you are? MultiMediaWill should stop responding to this self righteous kid. Who cares if you're "ticked." Its none of your business what was leaked. Everyones making a big deal of nothing and all the attention seekers are coming out of the woodwork.

People who tell others to google answers on a discussion and information forum clearly dont understand what a discussion forum is.

People who don't understand how to use a search function in a forum don't understand it either.

No, it wasn't. Comex hadn't released the URL of the directory the files were in. I've designed a few websites, and at some point, you have to upload the website files to a web server to do final testing. And you can't really password protect those files either, since you are designing the website for all users, and you have to test it under the same conditions as for those users -- ie, no password. So I upload the files, and give out the URL to my beta testers. And hope nobody stumbles onto my files before I'm ready to release my website to the general public. So just because a file is online doesn't mean it's publicly available. Most of the time, just not giving out the URL is good enough to keep the files from becoming public, and that's clearly what Comex thought too, though in this case, he was sadly mistaken.

I made a joke about how many times the guy had made the same post and somehow that was a violation. Yet this is a thread about stealing software and that's OK. I won't be reporting any other posts.

Jesus was a socialist.

PDF =\= Car

And I did not need a password for the PDF file.

What is copyright?
Copyright is a form of protection grounded in the U.S. Constitution and granted by law for original works of authorship fixed in a tangible medium of expression. Copyright covers both published and unpublished works.

You should go ahead and check out this website (You can even do it on your "Jailbroken iPad 2) But you broke the law, and are bragging about it all over (Sounds like a confection to me...) I think it would be so funny to see comex using the funds from the donations to make you pay for your stunt...

Comex never copyrighted his PDF file.

I find it incredibly funny to see people getting their knickers in a twist about the ethics of leaking a beta of a HACK! !!!!!

hahahaha.
Frigging 12 year olds.

HAHA, this reminds me of when Gizmodo "got their knickers in a twist" about the ethics of taking a leaked prototype (beta) of an iPhone a year ago, haha.

Same logic, same people thinking it's okay. The only way to obtain intellectual or physical property LEGALLY is through legitimate channels.

He doesn't have to. If you took the time to read the FAQ at the link provided, you would have seen the following info.

When is my work protected?
Your work is under copyright protection the moment it is created and fixed in a tangible form that it is perceptible either directly or with the aid of a machine or device.

Do I have to register with your office to be protected?
No. In general, registration is voluntary. Copyright exists from the moment the work is created.

Comex didn't have to do anything, his work was copyrighted from the moment he created that PDF file.
