When is your MP shipping?

I find it really weird that everyone is saying the 20th, even my email, but my app says the day before...
 
Hexcore with 5870 shipped

My Hexcore with the 5870, ordered on the 9th just shipped also. I looks like all of the BTO machines in the first wave have shipped. :)

Now, if my memory from TranIntl would ship :(

By the way, in case anyone missed it, 16GB from OWC is $749 but is $568 from TranIntl. Both are reputable and have lifetime warranties.

My OWC RAM is arriving tomorrow, er well today actually. And I ordered the OWC RAM before they raised the prices, I got it for $719 :) And I'm gonna send in the 6GB it comes with for an extra $54.
 
My mail from Apple says 20th delivery - but my Fedex tracking info says 10:30am on the 19th.

While most of the US & Canada are asleep, how is the shipping going in UK and the rest of Europe?

If they are shipping, where are they coming from?

Last time I ordered a Mac Pro it came form Ireland (much quicker than the journey from China). Is this still the case?

Not a big surprise really!:D

I noticed recently that the UK Apple Store doesn't bother with the "Prepared for Shipment" status anymore. Sometimes you can log on the UK website and it says "Not Yet Shipped" then log on the US version and it says "Prepared for Shipping". The only change on the UK site is that the option to cancel is removed. This might be only with some orders.

Once it ships, it updates the status.

I guess not :p Frustrating though. They always seem to get the latest technology the fastest somehow.

Estimated delivery date is still September the 3th. Sigh!
 
Mine just shipped from China. It says delivers by August 23rd. That estimate is always pessimistic. I'd be shocked if it weren't here by Friday and it could be here by Wednesday. Awesome!

It could be worse my estimated delivery date is 8th September (my own fault - I had to cancel and reorder).

Well, the thing is, I ordered the 9th. The standard Quad config, but I chose a keyboard with US layout in stead of NL layout (the return and shift keys are annoying on Dutch layout).

Apparently it's very hard to switch te keyboard to one with the most used layout :X

Ah well. Nothing I can do about it. I'll just have to suck it up.
 
Any other aussies waiting to receive their Mac Pro? Surely I'm not the only one ;)

Perhaps mine will get its own FedEx plane all by itself :p Star treatment right there lol.

It's great that mine is "Prepared for Shipment" so soon, but my only gripe is that it means I have to clean up my desk and reorganise everything sooner than later haha. I have plans to reorient my desk for hopefully the best utilisation of floor space. But given that my desk is now heavier with stuff attached to the underside.. ugh not looking forward to it
