When is your MP shipping?

2.8 quad

looks like theses are still not shipping lots of other custom orders are shipping early

anyone with a 2.8 quad got any change??

ordered 1st day.
 
When my iphone 4 shipped from China last month, the email said shipped July 2, deliver by Jul 9. The actual delivery date was July 6, so it is quite possible these delivery dates may shorten once the package hits the USA.

I still don't have a charge, but Apple has given me my shipping notice and given the info to FedEx. It's just a matter of FedEx grabbing the box from the factory and Apple processing the payment now.

IT GETS HERE FRIDAY!

Oh- and the 8/24 date is Fedex's estimate... The Apple order page actually says 23rd. (I've never seen Apple's estimate be earlier than Fedex before... weird.)

Expedited shipping would not get you your machine any faster if its shipping from China. They all ship the same way, whether you paid for shipping or not. Shipping times often change (usually for the better) once it clears customs.

I got a shipment notice this morning. Ordered the stock quad with only a graphics upgrade.
 
Anyone order within the last few days? Are you still getting the same shipping estimates (before the end of August)? I just ordered my 6 Core w/ 5870, and I really hope it arrives before the end of August! I live in Toronto btw. I'd appreciate anyone that posts their shipping estimates that has ordered recently. :)

I ordered in the first hour and then for reasons too boring to mention, I cancelled my order and reordered on Saturday. I am (as I would expect to be) still not yet shipped. I will let you know when this moves. Apples estimated ship date - 30th August.

I ordered a 3.2 Quad yesterday. Delivers: Aug 24-30. I live in San Francisco, CA
 
Mine left Shenzhen, China earlier today. But it says that the estimated delivery for the East coast is on August 24th. In my experience these delivery estimates are worst case scenarios with actual delivery taking place even a few days earlier.

so how do you explain my shipping time changing from 20th to 24th after clearing customs :mad::mad::mad:

im in california by the way... all the MP needs to do is cross the ocean :( i can swim faster than that :)
 
Yet another MP flying out of Shenzhen this morning here. Now delivery says the 24th...I was really liking getting it this Fri. Who knows, the iPod took from Tue to Thurs to get here, I'm hoping things are similarly fast for this.

FYI, for those overly excited, odds are all of our boxen are on this plane here, it's the only FedEx flight out of Shenzhen today. It's landing in Anchorage:

That's awesome. Now we can obsessively track the actual cargo plane in almost real time. Isn't the internet great? :D

It will be nice to know when it lands though ;)
 
Yes, mine just changed to the 24th, but I remain optimistic about getting the Mac Pro by the end of this week.

Almost ALL my shipments from Chenzen, China were delivered in advance of the FedEx ETA.

Delivery times, especially ones dealing with international flights are very lenient.
 
The good news is that in the easterly direction tailwinds make the flight from Hong Kong to Anchorage somewhere around 3 hours shorter than the same route going west.

So our mac pro's will be on the ground in Alaska (hopefully in one piece) in only about 2 hours from the time of this post!

EDIT: If Fedex flies MD11's with roughly 200,000 lb. payloads, and a Mac Pro shipping box weighs about 50 lbs, you do the math.
