What time did your Mac Pro actually ship from Apple? Just so I can have a guess as to when mine might arrive?

No, Apple have used Kuehne+Nagel for Europe for a while. They bring it from China to Europe, where it might be consolidated with your AppleCare package or whatever, and then hand it off to UPS or TNT or whoever serves Holland (in your case), for final delivery to you. Good luck tracking your package--in the past, it's been a royal pita.

Thanks for the clarification. Good to know.

Now I won't lose my mind when the status isn't updated at all before I'm getting a TNT track-and-trace code ;)

I just recieved my macpro.
2.8 quad basic, with wireless keyboard as custom.

Am i the first?

Is there no way of tracking progress until Apple adds shipping firm and tracking number to my order status?

Now its obvious that I live at/in the wrong place on this magnificent globe :)
Your route is.... shorter for sure. Here in Scandinavia I don't expect an delivery until earliest Thursday next week. Well that gives me some time to get my SSD drives purchased and, if lucky my new desk..

I'm really excited about the HDD type apple uses in the new Mac Pro.
WD Caviar Black would be great!

just checked with TNT, my 3.33 is in Germany at the moment, apparently it might arrive tomorrow :) shall I take the day off work? grrrrrrrr or wait till the scheduled day on Monday?

Status changed to shipped just now. Will be delivered between Friday and Sunday but that's because I'm in Japan.

Now in Memphis

That's actually interesting. Let us know if it makes it. That would mean there are some orders sent ahead or at least expedited once they hit US soil.

It looks like my 3.33/5870 order, placed on the first day, and en route to Northern VA, will indeed arrived on the 20th. WooOohoO!

It arrived in Memphis, TN last light at 11:16PM after shipping from Shenzhen on the 17th and then hanging out in HK on the 18th. As of 1:08AM the status updated to ''Int'l shipment release", still flagged as being in Memphis, TN. Perhaps the 2-3 day shipping upgrade actually paid off.

Exciting times! After waiting to order this beast for over a year, the big day has almost arrived!

Caviar Black? Did someone who has rec'd their MP confirm that?

I've never seen a high end HD in a MP before. Not that I wouldn't welcome it but every Mac I've ever owned -- dozens over the years -- has had a vanilla OEM drive, nothing fancy like a Black. I wouldn't be surprised to see the first batch of MPs have the same Seagate that is in the 27" iMac. Of course Apple doesn't use just one HD OEM vendor, so it's always luck of the draw. From what I read the iMac folks are not to happy about their Seagate's noise.

It left Alaska around 4pm, meaning it's on one of these flights:
FDX48 to Newark
FDX28 to Memphis
FDX22 to Indianapolis

I personally hope it's Newark, because if it lands there at 2AM there's a slim chance it'll make it on the truck tomorrow

Well, it went to Memphis. But now I'm confused as to where it it. Memphis or Warwick?

My 1st day order going to Maryland still shows hong kong. Long day I guess.

Figured out what "Onforwarded For Delivery" meant... TNT has a nice PDF that gives the meaning of the statuses they use (in Dutch - hurrah for google translate).

It means they passed it on to a subcontractor to deliver.

Dunno if I like that and it sorta means I can't really track it anymore... i think. So who knows if i get it tomorrow or not.

I'm here for you if you need any translations from Dutch to English ;)
