It should be making its way to the Netherlands now. Apparently, it's being shipped by SYNCREON.

You'd lose that bet b/c they didn't. Expedited shipping is only relevant for orders that ship within the county, i.e., from a U.S. address to a U.S. address. Then it get's bumped up from regular ground to 2day or next day air as ordered. Orders from China to the U.S. only ship one way regardless whether the customer paid for shipping or opted for the freebie: Int'l Priority Direct Dist., i.e., non-priority palletized. Orders from China to other countries use other services, but still palletized/budget.

That is not true. Expedited order that were placed after mine and some others on the 9th bound for the US, went out from China to Alaska ahead of these. Maybe not on a so called expedited service plane, but they went and the rest didn't.

I have to stop looking at the fedex status site. I'm aggravating myself too much.

I ordered exactly the same system as the person above via regular, on the same day, and mine is already in the air.

No I just mean that Apple, as in the iphone 4 fiasco, hasn't quite got it together on how to smoothly launch a new product. nevertheless, the eta was 8/24 and that looks like what it will be. fedEx can afford to wait a day if needed on the standard orders headed in any particular direction. But secretly, I just know that they really are trying to make me mad!

Expedited shipping is not available in the UK (and I suspect many other countries). I am quite glad, as I think I would be getting very annoyed with or without it. All I can say is that the way that Apple ships appears to be very random. Regardless of all our configuration/location variables.....
