FYI: Looks like the stock 2.8 QCs are at US warehouses and shipping same day. I ordered mine this afternoon and it's shipping today via FedEx Ground. The tracking# isn't live yet, but most new Apple stuff for me ships from Jonestown PA.
I really don't understand why my computer needs to spend two days in China before shipping.
Got exactly the same shipment travel activity. Missed the flight to ALASKA
. Mine is supposed to ship to NY on the 24th and I don't think i ll get it earlierYeah, mine too. I think "At Local Fedex Facility" means they're just gonna let it sit there until tomorrow. Boy do I regret cheaping out on the expedited shipping.
Maybe Fri/Sat?
I thought they would be on US soil by now tbh, since mine is only being prepared for shipment, that means Ill most likely will need to wait at least another week.
The status changed to "In transit" at 4:47 pm my time and it is now 9 pm. How much longer til it gets to Alaska?
I think they dont even allow you pickups from sorting facilities. And once it reaches the fedex regular depot, it usually delivers the same day.
It left Anchorage
FDX48 to Newark
FDX28 to Memphis
FDX22 to Indianapolis
I personally hope it's Newark, because if it lands there at 2AM there's a slim chance it'll make it on the truck tomorrow
Edit: All 3 flights are over Alberta right now.
It left Alaska around 4pm, meaning it's on one of these flights:
FDX48 to Newark
FDX28 to Memphis
FDX22 to Indianapolis

Hmmm. It's 11:24 am in Hong Kong. You'd think there'd be some sort of status update by now... Been just sitting there almost 12 hours...
Mine shipped yesterday from China. It's now sitting in Lantau Island with locojay's & psychometry's. It's a custom config that originally reported 24 Aug ship & 27 Aug delivery dates. It's now saying it'll be here on the 24th.
I'm upgrading from a 2008 bottom-of-the-line iMac. I have three 27" Samsung LCDs ready for the Pro. I can't wait!

The Aussie Mac Pro's seem to have been sitting in Hong Kong for 25 hours now - for me it still says "Shipment In Transit." ... Makes me imagine someone is driving the truck in circles for 25 hours heh.
We must be catching the same plane! LOL
The only flight listed to Australia from Hong Kong leaves on Friday, and that's a Virgin Atlantic flight.

My Hexcore/5870 is sitting there with yours as well. I keep refreshing, but it doesn't seem to help

Well I guess if things go similarly to xgman's order last month nothing will change for 20 hours... so 5 am PST tomorrow or 8pm Hong Kong time...
