Mine has not shipped yet but it says it will be delivered between Aug 26-Sept 1, does this mean Apple going to ship it on the 26 and I will get it on the 1st of sept or will I get it on the 26? Trying to figure out what days I should take off
Well it seems as though Apple worked some kind of magic! I got a ship notification today!!
Ordered late on the 20th and delivered on the 27th!!?? Free shipping to AK, to boot!!![]()
Ordered my CTO 6-core (via dealer) 7 working days ago - only to be told today it's still in the factory and will be another 7-10 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's terrible.Did they give any reasons for this?
I ordered on the 14th from Apple Store UK. I am still "not yet shipped". It must be soon.

Won't ship until container is full
Which dealer did you order with?
This isn't down to the dealer - this is what they've been told. It really smarts of Apple UK not wanting to loose face - current UK store on CTO is 5-7 days - judging by my dealer feedback - this is complete BS.
So much for a big workforce in Ireland building the damm things.
This is all a bit odd. Every other Mac Pro that has shipped so far seems to have come from China.
Yes - it is
I was referring to MR posts suggesting Ireland was hiring a big workforce to build the MacPros.
At this rate it will 3 weeks before I get delivery!
My UK based dealer also told me that he thought his stock was coming via the republic of Ireland.
Right now I can't find anybody who can give me a clue when my kit will turn up, or even somebody who can tell me when they they may be able to provide an ETA.
Just to twist the knife, I actually ordered before the launch date with the dealer converted my 2009 spec order into the 2010 model which was announced just 24 hours after they banked my dosh.
So I have been out of pocket for around six weeks now with NO IDEA where my kit is.
If anybody from Apple is reading - you may wish to consider if your delivery process is good enough. From when I sit it is rubbish.
I don't think Apple is responsible for your dealer's problems. When the first orders were placed, the estimated delivery times were around the 24th-26th. That's where we are now. If you had ordered from Apple directly I would hazard a guess that you would either have your machine or know a lot more about where it is currently located...

Just called the apple UK store helpline 0845...
To quote Apple representative...
Yes the times should change on a CTO - they don't, umm that's odd!
I normally work in customer service (draw your own conclusion)
The MacPros are shipping out of Ireland - 5-7 days seems right.
If you order anything heavyweight(complicated) like a MacPro you should order directly from Apple - not a dealer. That's probably why it's delayed.
So I should cancel my dealer order and order direct? - yes that's probably the best thing.
OK - what do you make of that?
Mine is out for delivery. The shipping originated from China, as an Apple sales rep told me it would about 4 days ago. I'm wondering that a certain portion of all the early orders came from China and the rest going to the USA will originate from Texas.
So, yesterday morning mine was still "not yet shipped". It's now on a truck for delivery. So cross your fingers.

Did it ship all the way from China in just 24 hours? Seems very strange. Good stuff though.
