UK shipping?

Any with U.K orders had any change yet?

I'm waiting on 2.8 with 8gb and 5780 shipping to London.
oh and on the 9th

is anyones on a similar thing?

I'm certain all 6-cores that were ordered the first couple of days at least will be delivered by the end of this week.

I'll believe that when I see its shipped. Unless you have other the hope and speculation to back up your comment. :p

6-core 5770 ordered within three minutes of store coming back on line Aug 9, status CHANGED to Prepared for Shipment. Ship date still shows 23/26.

The credit card activity line won't change from "auth" to a charge until sometime in the middle of the night after Apple charges it.

But I expect that to be tonight or tomorrow night at the latest. Meaning there's some shot at getting it here in California by Friday. It may ship in 7 actual biz days after all.

Prepared For Shipping != Shipped

Anyone have any recently previous experience on how long it takes for them to move these once they're prepared? There's no reason not to believe that they couldn't sit around for days until its closer to the time they've annnounced (23rd). I've seen things go out a day or two earlier, but never more than a week - but I'd love to see that as well. Mine's been prepared recently too.

There really is no distinct pattern. Could be hours or days. Once it's at "Prepared for Shipping" and FedEx has been contacted I believe FedEx has a 5 bus. days to deliver. (not including if it gets stuck in customs) w/ type of service Apple uses. There is overnight delivery from China so FedEx could easily let it sit for 3 days and not have a problem meeting the deadline.

Hah, well just going by recent experience from shopping at the Apple Store. In the last couple of months, I've purchased iPhones, iPads, and hundreds of dollars of accessories for me and my wife (including a refurb Apple Cinema Display, which I returned later.)

"Prepared for shipment" usually means it will leave their facilities within the next 24 hours. This has remained constant in every order I've placed via the Apple Online Store. I'm pretty sure all of us here can vouch for that with their iPods. And so, if we are to assume the original dates of "Ships by Aug 23, delivers by Aug 26", then we are to believe it will be delivered within 3 business days. However for the sake of practicality of free Ground shipping, let's maintain a 3-5 business day guess just to be safe.

Again, just going off my experience for the last few months of shopping at Apple, my guess is we'll see our statuses change to "Shipped" by tonight, perhaps in the wee hours of late night. If not, it should ship by tomorrow, hence within 24 hours.

If our Mac Pros ship by tomorrow, 3-5 business falls squarely by Saturday. And the only thing I don't remember is if FedEx delivers on Saturdays :p

In which case they don't deliver Saturdays, then yes, we'll have some deliveries by Monday unfortunately.

Shipped today!

Prepared For Shipping != Shipped
Prepared For Shipping = Apple entered shipping info in FedEx's system.
Shipped = FedEx picked up the package

Which is why I titled my initial post "Shipping today!" but Im glad to change it now to "Shipped today!" :):):)

Nice, so your status actually says "Shipped"? Awesome news!

It was picked up (at the factory I suppose) at 7:40pm (Shenzen time) and left the FedEx facility at 10:27pm (for the airport, I suppose).

I wonder if it'll fly into California first or straight to the east coast.

What did you order and what time? Was it a BTO or stock config?

prepared for shipment!

I ordered a 3.2 quad core with the 5870 on Thursday morning and mine just changed to prepared to ship!

First Mac Pro and I'm excited!

Wow - that's awesome that they're shipping now. Maybe we will start seeing them this week. Time to go home and clear off some desk space :D

Does everyone know about the fantastic app/widget - Delivery Status. It's great. You can input your apple order details even before it ships. It's brilliant.

I have no financial interest in this company. Just might help pass the time as we wait.....:D

Love that app! Got it on my iPhone too :)

I ordered something from Amazon that was delivered via FedEx and I got it on a Saturday. But I am an Amazon Prime member so I got free 2-day shipping and that is probably why.

I got a 2.92 GHz 12-core and it is prepared for shipment. Chances are, the dates won't change until the system actually ships.

Well, my 3.33 6-core (stock except for 5870) just switched to "Prepared for Shipment"... any progress is good news, as far as I'm concerned.

Still no change in ship-by or delivered-by dates, though.

You didn't start making room back on the 27th? I even have the kvm and network cables waiting on the floor for mine. :D

I haven't started making room yet, I've been way to busy opening up all my boxes with 3rd party stuff for the Mac Pro. My Dell u2311h just got here today :)

So no BTO has actually "shipped" yet. Hopefully someone will be the lucky first one and post here soon.

Ordered a 3.2 quad & 5870 on the 10th . . . then upgraded it to the Hexacore on the 13th. Nothing changed as of yet, but if others who ordered on the 12th are having theirs updated, I'm hopeful that mine will also be changed today.
