This event will be Oct 16 or 17 because Tim is speaking at the European Data Protection Conference in Brussels the following week (Oct 23), and he would want to tout all of Apple's latest devices then.

Or not at all.

And we mean ALL of the ports! Power will be provided through a wireless zero-point module that we are developing jointly with the AirPower team!

Our pipeline is very exciting.

I bet on MacBooks, iPads with Qi charging technology in the future. Indeed no more ports needed. Or at least one to connect a hub.

I remember Steve passing just a day after the 4s/Siri keynote. It was the saddest thing that this disease took away a man who still had lots of output left in him. F cancer! On a side note, I hope those paparazzis who took those shots of Steve looking moribund burn in hell if there is one. No respect for a man and his family.

if everybody on this site paid themselves $1.00/hour for every time they complained about Apple not updating the Mac Mini, they could all have Mac Pros on their desktops by now.

If Apple do release a more capable Mac Mini as some rumours suggest, I think it makes a preview of the Mac Pro more likely so that customers can decide if they should wait, or commit to the Mini.

I believe it's more favorable to sales if Apple doesn't talk about the Mac Pro when the Mini Pro is released.

Side note: for those where life does not exist outside of telling everyone what's wrong with Apple on every post they make, have a look at what Microsoft have just announced. The new surface pro looks really good (seriously). The Surface laptop is ok.

Wild card: first public showing of the new Mac Pro! It's been well over a year now since they said they're working on a successor to the trashcan, and AMD is introducing their new Vega 20 professional GPU later this year, and I'd assume Apple would want to be one of their first customers. The old Tahiti chip used in the current Mac Pro is very very dated, but is the only AMD chip with high double precision float performance. Vega20 is set to correct that deficiency.

And why new Mac Pro now? Because, you know, it doesn't take several years to design a PC. But seeing how long Apple has let the Mac Mini languish, they just might let it go a while longer still for no reason. They're kinda lazy and complacent like that, comes from making a multiple billions in profit per week I suppose.

Another wild card: new Thunderbolt Display. Because it's about g-d time. Preferably one with a slot for an upgradeable GPU for macbook users.

Do you think Apple will release a MacBookPro 13 with the useless touchbar?
I want buy the new 2018 macbook 13, but I don't like that touchbar.

Seriously you want a AMD chip? The RTX 2080 Ti is the dominant GPU right now. Think big. The MacPro D-series chips were a total joke IMO. Apple will have no excuse if they don't go with the king of the hill at the moment when it comes to GPU speed and keep making "pro" claims. Professional workstation means the fastest available hardware; period.

It takes several years to design a PC that uses Intel hardware? The only thing to design is how the T2 chip (which of course it will have) interacts with the rest of the system, and haven't they already got that figured out in the iMacPro and the new MacBook Pro?

They are complacent because the computer hardware business model makes next to nothing compared to the iPad/iPhone/Watch/App Store BS.
