This event will be Oct 16 or 17 because Tim is speaking at the European Data Protection Conference in Brussels the following week (Oct 23), and he would want to tout all of Apple's latest devices then.
Or not at all.

Thats the courage of Apple.
We also plan on removing the ports for all of your accessories.

And we mean ALL of the ports! Power will be provided through a wireless zero-point module that we are developing jointly with the AirPower team!
Our pipeline is very exciting.

If Apple do release a more capable Mac Mini as some rumours suggest, I think it makes a preview of the Mac Pro more likely so that customers can decide if they should wait, or commit to the Mini.
A 'Top Notch Mac Mini'?The notch on the Mac mini shall be on top of it though!
To me its better to have it early November... not to distract the XR release and preorders. The 16th would make more sense so that the new iPads and Macs go on sale on Friday like the XR
again the SE-2? people still asking for the SE-2, I really want the SE2 but I think there's never happens, Apple force us to stupids big phones.Mac Pro, over ear Headphones, & SE-2
I got one early—loving my iPhone XS Max.iPad mini X
Wild card: first public showing of the new Mac Pro! It's been well over a year now since they said they're working on a successor to the trashcan, and AMD is introducing their new Vega 20 professional GPU later this year, and I'd assume Apple would want to be one of their first customers. The old Tahiti chip used in the current Mac Pro is very very dated, but is the only AMD chip with high double precision float performance. Vega20 is set to correct that deficiency.
And why new Mac Pro now? Because, you know, it doesn't take several years to design a PC. But seeing how long Apple has let the Mac Mini languish, they just might let it go a while longer still for no reason. They're kinda lazy and complacent like that, comes from making a multiple billions in profit per week I suppose.
Another wild card: new Thunderbolt Display. Because it's about g-d time. Preferably one with a slot for an upgradeable GPU for macbook users.

That look so MUCH BETTER!Oooh, I like it!
But… why stop there?

I'm sorry if I just took your breath away.
Glad someone catches on that!A 'Top Notch Mac Mini'?
Will the money you set aside cover your funeral as well? Or at least cover the AD&D policy that will? /sI already set my money aside to buy an AirPower. I hope it will be on sale before I die.
I think he said "not this year" and that was in 2017.Phil Schiller already said it's a 2019 product
