Week 39 and it came with iOS 4.0.2

I had texting/loose button issues with the previous one and exchanged it today for the one stated above. I have no texting issues now, but still loose buttons, which I will deal with. I'm thinking it was 4.1 that had a texting bug.

week 39

Same death grip problem
No yellow photo problem
No home screen problem
Proximity issue same as before, I usually don't talk for more than 1 min, if over ~1 min, sensor start acting.

yeah im getting closer to the expiration of my verizon contract and i am going to switch over to get the iphone 4 but i was just wondering that if the week number is on the actual box of the iphone so i will know if it is a fairly new phone.

My third phone: Week 40. Came with 4.1.

The privious phones all had faulty proximity sensors. On the new one I can see the proximity sensor lighting red when talking. I couldn't see this on the privious phones so obviously Apple have made some sort of changes to the hardware. After 4 hours of usage I haven't made any discoveries of hardware defects.

*Fingers crossed

Week 39. Reception is ok and the screen is beautiful. Oh and came with 4.1, but when I plug into iTunes it says in up to date, but someone above has a week 39 iPhone and says it came with 4.2, so am I not up to date?

On one of Apple's bad days.

and another, and another, and another.... I'm on my fourth iPhone at the insistence of the "Genius" behind the bar.

Each of the Genius's that waited on me confirmed the major faults with each of the three that preceded this forth one.

Now, I've simply demoted it to "just another one" of my smartphones as I enjoy the others, and wait for Apple to get their act together.

Thanks for the pic, it's very helpful.

Week 41. Purchased October 9th.

No yellow tint.

Bars go down by about 2 when in the death grip; however this has not had any noticeable effect on reception/connection in real world use in the city of Chicago.

Overall great phone with no major problems. Loving the better camera with flash.

Hey don't say you weren't warned.

How predictable. Please don't take the sad face too seriously. Like i said, i'm here to see whether there is a fix, not that there is a fix...

I still reading, and grateful for those who keep giving feedback. Hope to join you sometime.
