If you don't need iOS 8 to test your apps you should install iOS 7, where you can enjoy both faster speed and stability. Most iOS 8 features don't work yet anyway.

In a surprising twist xcode beta six is no longer in Dev center, beta 5 is back up.......wonder why?!?!

There was something wrong with the download. It kept saying Xcode6-Beta6.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

So maybe Xcode beta 6 was removed to be fixed rather than to be updated for iOS 8 beta 6? I don't have a Mac so I am never able to use Xcode. That will be really disappointing if they rerelease Xcode beta 6 without iOS 8 beta 6.

By the way, just throwing this out there, a few articles that I just read suggested that iOS 7.1.3 and iOS 8 beta 6 might be released at the same time. Personally, I don't believe this since iOS 7 public releases and iOS 8 beta releases are two totally different things but on the other hand, maybe they will both be released at the same time in order to patch the exploits that the PanGu jailbreak uses. Just a thought.

Wanting expecting the beta today, and I'm happy it didn't come out today
Kind of confirms the date/timeframe for the iphome keynote

Just because apple doesn't push a beta doesn't mean they have stopped work on the issues and bugs, they still test new builds within the company.

Plus they will want to keep features and models hidden from spying eyes till they have to share the GM.

Well if it doesnt hit today then there wont be a beta 6 - Doubt there is a beta 6 and beta 5 actually runs really well for me, so I can wait for GM or iPhone 6

This beta is not going out to developers, only for carrier testing.

There will likely be no more iOS 8 releases to developers until the GM on September 9th.

Was the iOS 7 GM last year released on the day the iPhone 5s was introduced?... I think I remember having the GM for longer then that!

If your right it will be totally 5 weeks between Beta 5 and GM? Sounds like a very long time since there have been 2-3 weeks between the recent betas. I know that they usually increase the time between the Betas but it feels like a huge step.
