Moral of this story: Crowd funding is all about patience and risk. If you want something right now, order from an established company. Get tracking number. Live life to the fullest.
As scjr is repeating it over and over again that people here are so impatient, I re-read the entire thread again, to try to get another perspective or better understand his view.
Well, I found actually only 3 answers complaining that the Cinder has not been shipped yet - if you want consider that impatient. But all the other answers always refer to Cupert's / Cinder's bad communication (messed up emails and missing updates).
And please don't tell me that is normal in crowdfunding. I think a lot of people would be fine if Cupert would once reply or make an update on time. It is not hard to write 2 lines stating that there are problems and they are fixing what they can.
In marketing communication is key. That is what they are doing wrong.
Crowdfunding is a two way street. Backers invest and the company should at least respond if they are not meeting the goals they set. I did not say make a miracle happen and deliver yesterday. I say: COMMUNICATE.
And my advice is, if you want a bad reputation, damage your brand and not build trust with your (future) customers, do not communicate and be rude.
