Where is Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)?

Yup. They're all down.

Man I hope Tiger is for sale today. That would be sweet.

But I would settle for just a shipping date...

...fingers crossed...
 
Apple Store down

It's 8:06am in Easter Time zone. Apple Store is unreachable.

I couldn't purchase the song of the week. Isn't that suppossed to be free? There may simply be a catastrophic failure. Flakey OS on crappy hardware you know. Or maybe the first Mac virus brought Apple to its knees.

Well, I don't want to tease you any either, but at the moment all the stores are down. We don't have the sticky note yet though so it may not mean anything.

Edit: yellow sticky note is up!
 
I had a dream when I was waking up this morning that Tiger would be out today...

But lets keep it cool folks, Apple do routinely take the store off-line for maintenance. I think it's a good sign though, I'm about 50-75% confident that its a Tiger release :D

Edit - The stores aren't down like they normally are.. Can't access the servers at all. This may mean just a problem in the system or that they are swapping over to a different server. Perhaps the different servers have all the Tiger info on :D
 
One wonders why exactly Apple has to close down their store for hours to simply add a bunch of new items.

Maybe we'll be seeing hardware upgrades too? Here's to hoping so. All Apple need do is chuck a half decent graphics card in a new iMac and I'll be a sucker to the plastic.
 
I thought they usually keep the american store open while updating the european ones. (kind of flicked a switch in america to a different server)

Does anyone know if there are any webcams at apple... say cupertino campus. :)

Both the Australian and JApan sites were just down with the yellow post it notes (although they can't be accessed at all now)... hmm
 
seems like a weird time to be releasing tiger
i still think apple are screwing us around to discredit rumor sites. then again, if these sites were always right, what would be the fun? :D
 
Well from what I can tell..

On the US site it wont connect to store.apple.com - Just sits there trying forever
On the UK site it will connect to store.apple.com OK but then gets stuck connecting to registration.euro.apple.com

I am beginning to suspect something is just borked rather than an update.

This would be a huge tease. Huge.

New iPod picture on the home page. No new info, just new images...

Yep and another hour of my life wasted clicking refresh every 5 minutes! I'd love to see some webstats for apple.com

No training or special events at the Apple retail stores. I suspect it is going to be an announcement, if anything at all.
 
Torture it is!

MAn want 10.4 !! so bad! maybe replacing my working machine for desktop G5 aswell ! PLease new hardware!

I bet they will wait until the market opens at 9:30 EST, or shortly before.
