Crimea was nice, as was Italy. But it really depends on where you are now, and what you want to do on vacation.

London I suppose.

I've been to Belgium, France, Italy but I honestly can't say that I remember much. Also places like NYC are nice, but I go there often so it's not exactly a vacation.

Really would like to hit up Germany and the UAE.

Australia. :p I'm a bit biased because I moved here. Specifically, I'd say Western Australia (it's the boring name of a State, not just a description). Tied for having the nicest beaches I've ever seen.

My other 1st place vote for beach lovers is Fiji. Just get to one of the smaller, quieter islands, and you'll feel like you have an entire island to yourself. I did. ;)

If you want to see mountains and such, then there are lots of good places. Large areas of Japan have great places for hiking, seeing the outdoors, and even enjoying high quality, local foods in small towns while you're near the top of a mountain. I've had some high quality (cold) soba (noodles) while near the top of a mountain in Nagano Prefecture. Austria is also stunning, and very green!! They also have a lot of culture and history, unlike a place like New Zealand that's more about enjoying the outdoors than anything else.

Estes Park, Colorado. There are so many fun outdoors things to do there, I went with a friend for a cheap vacation and we had a great time. The restaurants around there were also pretty good.

I'm a simple guy. The only vacations I take are trips to A.C./Vegas and an annual man trip to Myrtle Beach to play 2 rounds of golf a day for a week.

Actually, my favorite place to vacation is my home state, Arkansas. I was born there, and I lived there on and off until I was 14 or so. I've been to a decent amount of places in the U.S (Though I'd absolutely love to see Europe) and there's none better in my opinion, espescially in the west-central part where I'm from.

Forests and mountains as far as the eye can see, plenty of out-of-the-way backroads in the mountains to drive, lots of rivers and lakes and parks, you're never short of anything to do. You can find a place on one of those backroads, and just be at peace for hours, taking in all the wonders of the nature around you, and chances are very good you will be the only person around for miles the entire time. Find some great country cooking at the restaurants in the small towns that sparsely dot the area. The climate can be a little weird, but not as bad as Texas (If you've lived in Texas, you know what I'm talking about.) Most of the time it's pretty pleasant out. Ah, my happy place. I'm actually saving up right now to move back out there for good, hope it won't be too much longer. :)

If you want to observe one of the most drastic changes in climate check out Hawaii (The Big Island). As you drive across parts of the island it changes from tropical rainforest, grasslands, desert, and finally to volcanoes!

The food is awesome too. Don't miss a luau, but do skip on the poi. That stuff is awful.

This is a must for any golfer. It's Mecca for all golfing folk. Haven't been there in ages :(

Went to Bannf, Canada last year for snowboard (heading out to Colorado in about a week and a half for another snowboard trip)

New Zealand for me. It was FANTASTIC there!

I don't really have any good pictures from there because once I was there I was too lazy to take good pics and instead just took snapshots and enjoyed myself. (Much better than setting up tripods, using neutral grad filters, finding perfect light, etc).

Maybe next time I go and I'm there longer I'll get better shots :p

Here are a few anyway.

I've lived in and been to quite a few places.

If I had to pick three places in the US I would pick NYC for the big city life, Anywhere in Colorado for the natural beauty and outdoor living, and LA (Lower Alabama) for beaches. People that think the best beaches are in California or Florida haven't been to LA, or any of the Gulf states.

In Europe it's hard to pick.... I spend most of my time in Germany and I love it.

Caribbean..... Jamaica.

Asia... Thailand or Philippines (they have the best beaches)

Haven't been to South America or Africa yet, but I will make my way there.

In all of my travels there was really only one place I truly disliked and that's Israel. If I never visit again I won't complain.

I wish I could travel more but that takes $$$. Lots of my friends who live in Europe keep going to all these cool places that they spend hardly any money to go to but for me to join its usually at minimum a $2k plane ticket : /

Yes indeed. Yesterday I was at sea level in rain and then 45 minutes later was at 10,000 feet in beautiful sunshine.

But don't skip the poi. Not everybody likes it, but many do -- so try it at least. And there are different varieties, too. If you got your poi at a hotel luau, I guarantee you didn't get the good stuff.

I haven't been anywhere too exotic, but diving both Poor Knights in NZ and the Barrier Reef in Australia (it was the same trip) has been a high water mark for me. With the significant other, Paris was awesome. It's such a romantic cliché, but there's definitely good reason for it.

I think my next place will be either Australia or Costa Rica.

Or Germany, Bosnia, Macedonia, and Kosovo to visit some friends. (I guess that would be a Euro-trip).

I guess with my parents was Maui. We stayed at ho'olei at grand wailea. So good we went back again next summer.

In my teens I did teen tours. My favorite of the three I went on was Australia
