iPod touch Which iPod touch 4G configuration is going to happen?

FM radio. Come on. Most MP3 players have FM radio built-in. What took Apple so long about the FM radio being built-in? They introduced it in the recent iPod Nano..
I totally agree, but I'm not sure whether they will.
After all, the iPhone doesn't have an FM radio. However, this could just be from the possibility of 3G radio apps; therefore, I don't really take the absence of this from the iPhone into consideration.
All things considered, I think it would be a good idea for Apple to include this feature. I want my NPR on the go!!!
I hope they do make it a bit bigger- iPhone 4 size, say. I mean, it really doesn't make that much difference; it's not like the iPhone is huge, and more space means a better chance of getting all the shiny components we like in there.

Basically a clone of the iPhone 4, minus the phone part. Don't see why Apple would keep the same design for 3 generations.

They might want to keep it to the Nano only which i wouldnt understand. I would really like FM.

I understand that Apple probably wants to keep the Nano line alive. One way of doing this is letting them have the exclusive FM radio. For this reason, I don't think it will have much of a chance of making it into the 4G.
I agree. But i dont see why they would want FM strictly to the Nano when the Touch is making them more money. The FM would just be another reason to buy.

1) Retina Display (remember that Apple is focusing on gaming with the iPod Touch)
2) 16GB, 32GB, 64GB (128 GB would bring the price of the iPod Touch way to high)
3) Front and back cameras, around 3 mp (iPod touch will have cameras, think of how it would benefit Apple since millions of more devices would then have Facetime)
4) Better processor,
5) More ram,
6) It will have nearly the same design as iPhone except thinner
7) Probably better battery life
8) Gyroscope
9) 802.11n Wi-Fi
I"m 100% sure it won't have a Sd slot or 3g (if you want 3g, buy an iPhone)

^^^^ NO, IT WILL NOT BE IN THE CENTER! Let's say that the keynote will be one and a half hours long. The iPod touch will get 45 minutes. It's going to be the good old one more thing. And the good old one more thing is usually a great/huge update. I hope so.

But seriously, why are people losing faith in the Back-facing camera? I think in the long run, people will use more of the back camera than the front one.
I think they will have a front and back camera, both will be 3 MP in order to fit unlike the iPhone which has a thicker, but higher resolution camera.
Lol, yeah. I agree about the A4. Also, the best we can hope for is that the iPod touch is that "one more thing". That implies a big update. But we can only hope, right?

I was thinking about how would I do it, if I had 75% mp3 player market share and around 50 billion bucks. And we all now that many people will buy the touch even it has only a gyroscope and a front facing camera. WHY? The 1st and 2nd gen iPod touches are getting weak and people will buy the new one (Even me.) (I'm now thinking of an iPad if the iPod touch gets stuff up there ^. And iPad IS apple's. So apple makes profit from a disappointed costumer that wants a better touch.), some people buy them to destroy them (blender, .50 cal shooting and microwaving) and there are new owners of iPod touch.

iPod touches were meant to hbe a low iPhone. Steve said that on the intro of the first iPod touch. This meant like 25% touches and 75% iPhones. But now it's like 60% touches and 40% iPhones.
If Apple makes an iPod with iPhone like features but without a phone and 3g, Apple would make less profit from touches but have more iOS devices sold in this way. I say that they rather have more profit and less iOS devices sold.
And if they make a low iPod touch they would say it's magical because it exceeds your ability to understand how it works.

Two 3 MP camera doesn't even fit an iPhone. The iP4 carries a 0.3 VGA and 5 MP camera.

Yes. It will obviously have a .3 VGA especially because it will not get anything better than the iPhone, and the VGA camera is $1.
