White iPhone 4 DELAYED. Officially

The Great White Hope has now become the Great White Buffalo.

Just wait for the iPhone 5 if it takes too long. Maybe one of the few reasons to upgrade for the new iPhone next year is it actually comes in a variety of colors just like what happened to the iPod nanos.

Yeah, because it worked so well for Google. People will flock to Apple for $700 phones without the subsidy and carriers won't fall overthemselves to publicize the phones that don't do that (like Android phones).

Agreed. This is why, when mine finally gets here, I'll be putting it directly in a case and slapping on a screen protector. I'm accident prone.

But they shouldn't say that they would have white and black when they don't have it to sell. Plus how come they had the "right" color to make the first ones, and now all of a sudden they don't have it, what happen????
 
Would you really want a colored iPhone? Those look absolutely horrendous. iPods, I understand. But a pastel blue phone? No...just, no. IMO, phones other than the standard black, silver, white, or grey look pretty trashy.
 
Perhaps....the problem is not the glass but the plastic button. Either getting it to match... or to keep it from staining and no longer matching the glass

They may be circumventing all the fan boys whining that the button stains under regular use and that they want a refund.

Isn't the white button the missing piece of the puzzle??

With a company as secretive as Apple, do you really expect someone on this forum to have hard facts to give you an exact date, really?

Keep waiting, its going to be a wile.
 
was at apple today getting my old 3g fixed for my mother and she really wants the white so i asked when and he said between november and early december
 
Personally, if they are having this many problems trying to even manufacture the thing, I wouldn't want to buy it.
 
I was told in an Apple store that it has been delayed until the end of the year due to a problem with the White finish.

Just the fact that you can call him stevie jizzobs without him getting mad is proof that your cool with him and he wouldn't lie to you. Now I don't feel bad for caving in to buy the black iPhone.
 
If the rumors of an iPhone 5 coming out in January are true I would say there will never be a white iPhone 4. Or they may ship right after the Powerbook G5.
