White iPhone 4 DELAYED. Officially

Its not the same, its the status not the actual color.

And it has to be Apple factory shipped or its not the same feeling either.

Im gonna grumpily settle for the 32GB Black, sync it with my matching Macbook Pro, and never look back.... But i wont be happy.

And for this whole year I'm gonna call all the white iPhones "gay" cuz I dont have one.

Black is the new IT color. (out of neccesity)
 
I was so hot on the new white one then they kept on pushing it out and saying "later" then it was The End of July*, then it was SOMEDAY, yes one fine day it will be like Pinkerton coming to get Madame Butterfly. It will be too late!

Phew! So I womaned up and marched myself down to AT&T and bought went over to THE DARK SIDE. Now I am waiting for the black phone to arrive.

I will put it in a case an no one will ever know what &*$% color it is.

Let it go, Bobby. It's really not a status symbol anymore. Damned near everyone has an iPhone. ;)

I really liked the look of the white. I've consoled myself with ideas about all the makeup and potential lip gloss that'd work it's way into the tiny crack around the home button.

Yep. I need a black phone now. ;)
 
I am teetering on the edge of ordering a black 32GB after patiently waiting all this time. I want to be able to facetime with hubby. Would AT&T be faster than Apple?

How LONG have we been staring at this same black bezel and the same home screen layout? For years its been the same shape and overall feel as it evolved. It technically changed every year but it still feels essentially like the 1st iPhone.
 
I'm surprised nobody has started up a "CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT" thread over the delay of the white phones :D :D :D I love this forum
 
I gave up too! Walked in yesterday to South Coast Plaza Apple 25 mins later picked up a black iphone 32gb, no preorder!!! Seriously my 3g was PAINFULLY slow and now im so WOWed by how fast the iPhone4 is!!!
 
This has to be the most f'ed up iPhone release, I honestly say to all of those who were soooo proud of having gave up their black iP4 and wait for a white one, "Take that!"

Be happy with what you have.

Although I'm very sure Steve has something planned for the iPhone this next quarter due to all it's current problems.

Good idea! I'll sue for one biiiiiillion dollars… but i'll settle for a free white iPhone 4. :D
 
They should just give up on the white and do a different color, the white is just going to end up always having problems, just like the white macbooks

im effin pissed. Not only did i sell my iP4 on the 15th, i sold my last 3GS yesterday BEFORE i heard the news of yet another delay.
 
my question is, what are all these people who "bought" the rights to white iphone 4's on ebay from sellers "who had 9 reserved", and other ridiculous claims? sellers are already at risk for scrutiny on ebay.

As far as matching your Mac goes. I thought for a day or so that the white iPhone would go nice with my unibody MacBook. However, I switched my mind and went with a 32 black. Now, 5 months after my MB purchase, I am looking to upgrade to a MBP.. I should have just spent the extra 2-300 for the RAM I want for iMovie, etc.

I sold my 3GS 6 weeks ago and I am not waiting any longer for Apple to get its act together. It has been a very frustrating process seeing the initial release with no white phone and then waiting patiently in anticipation, getting false hopes up that it is coming soon. If I had known that this was going to be the case would have kept the 3GS until it was ready.

I wish they had not bothered at all with a white version, they have messed a lot of us about. It is clear to me that Apple simply cannot cope with the yearly refresh. They should knock the June deadline away next year and release the damn iphone 5 when its ready and in full production. I think most of us can cope with a 18 month refresh as opposed to every 12 months especially if it means the model is in full working production with lots of availability as opposed to the ridiculous situation surrounding the iPhone 4.

I have ordered a black (another few weeks of waiting) and will probably leave the white until the iPhone 5 (if it comes out in white of course).
 
Well, at least for once Apple showed a hardware product long before they were able to produce and sell it. Isn't that what those of us who groan about their draconian secrecy always wanted? Right, so we shouldn't be complaining. ;)
 
I returned mine and will wait in the hopes of both a white one and a hardware fix for the antenna issue.
 
I can't see what the problem could be. :mad:

This is an easy process:

-Mix-up a batch of silica sand, add white paint beads (preferably white primer) and little lead and arsenic - mix it, smelt it, pour it, cool it, cut it.
-Put the device together accordingly.
-Dip it in poly-urethane (for that added protection)
-Wrap it, ship it, sell it... sold ...out the door.

Absolutely... no problems in the manufacturing process.

Oh... I forgot to add: If these wimpy people begin to fall out after inhaling the toxic fumes... just give 'em a bumper dammit!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Once the iPhone goes multi-carrier, they could do a special color to differentiate between carriers, ie red for Verizon, orange for AT&T (with black still available for all carriers).
