White iPhone 4 to Ship Early Next Month?

Actually I think should a white 4 be released in April that points to only incremental changes, some performance upgrades, for the 5 in June. I doubt they'd launch the white in the 4 form factor two months before they radically change the form factor in the new model. Doesn't exactly engender consumer satisfaction and brand loyalty.

Because the iphone 4GS is only going to be spec bump at best.

I could actually imagine Apple waiting out a year. There's not much they can realistically add into the iPhone 4 other than the A5 chip and maybe more storage space.

With the release of the iPhone in June/July?

I have to ask what's the point?
 
I'm glad that they finally figured out the white paint issue. But, if Apple follows their previous iphone schedule the the v5 is coming in the next three or four months. Lord knows, those that buy the white version will be screaming when the iphone5 is announced.
 
I'll definitely get a white iPhone 5 if they have them. I think it looks nice. My girlfriend is crazy about white Apple products. That might be a sign.
 
the iPhone 4 will have a 1.5/2 year life before 5 get's announced so their pushing 4 out in a different color also because it's still got a while before it get's updated

You're kidding right? I hope that was all sarcasm.

In regards to the white iPhone 4, i find it absolutely pointless to release it. Clearly Apple is trying to milk as much as they can from the iPhone 4 line.
 
I actually wanted the white iPhone 4 originally but I wouldn't swap now. Still e iPhone 4 will still be sold until next year's new iPhone so it makes sense for them to make white ones if they can. They'll just be the discount phones when the new one comes out this summer.
 
Apple bumped the specs of the original 2G iPhone after its release but before the 3G version came out. They increased the memory that you could choose, about 8 months after it's release, in the same year that the 3G was eventually released.

so there is precedent for them releasing different versions before a major change.

Before we get a 4Gs we should get a 4G first, as at the moment is just a 4.

For a while now we got the last year model with 8GB and the latest model with 16GB or 32GB.

So we probably will have a black or white iPhone4 8GB for a lower price and the iPhone5 (black or white?)with 16GB or 32GB.

The other poster is right on. The "iphone5" will more than likely be a spec bump to the 4... just like the 3 to 3Gs. I would think same case, better processor, more storage, RFID and iOS5.

So... doing the white one now is fine... it will get bumped with the rest. Besides, Apple is selling iPhone 4's as fast as they can. Adding the White might add a few more customers or faster sell through. Not a bad thing.

DOUBLE exactly on the fix above! They will continue to sell the white iPhone 4 for over a year still. So it makes sense, espcially with the slight bump Apple will get in their slow iPhone quarter.
