any guy with a white iphone likes white iphones, and guys. be a man, get a black iphone. they look 10000x better anyway.

So you're telling me that you're gay because you like white iPhones? I'm gay and my iPhone is black. You become a man when you're older then 20. Thank you and listen to your teachers in school. :)

My dad has a white iPhone.

I think guys with white iPhones give off a girly image. Also using a white iPhone looks so unprofessional in business.

Just being 20 doesn't make you a man, especially if that person still thinks that white phones are for women or gay men.

Too much ignorance there for me formulate a proper response.

I like you. :)

I have a white iPad btw

I'm using white 4s. I think it's just personal taste, not a big deal. Choose your color and man up!

I am a male and I prefer white not only for aesthetics but practical reasons. White iPhone reflects less and hides fingerprints and scratches better. And they tend to have slightly higher resale value.

This actually also valid in my country.

I am a male and have the white iPhone, but I'm not the biggest fan. I bought it when I jumped over to Verizon. I found a good deal on Craigslist to ride out the few months until the iPhone 5. I don't think I'll get the white again...

I'm a male with a white one and it was a huge mistake. I got the white because my 4 was black and I wanted my new phone to look different but I wish I would have just stayed with black. They white gets dirty way too easy. There is no way I'm getting a white phone ever again.
As far as the pole goes you have to remember more guys are on this forum than girls so you are not going to get many female responses. Overall I see more girls with white iPhones than guys but if you think having a white iPhone makes you any less of a man then you have bigger problems to worry about.

Personal - White (to differentiate from work phone)
Work - Black

Both are iPhone 4S models. After using both for an extended period, I found that the black is more comfortable on my eyes when reading or using a lot. I have no explanation for this.

I think the white iPhones look phenomenal and sexy.

The black ones still look more business like to me though.

LOL, this makes no sense. and there is nothing to back that statement.

What looks unprofessional about any phone... is using it when you shouldn't... If any phone looks unprofessional, it is the Galaxy Note just because it is huge.

ADDITIONAL: There was some phone a coworker of mine had that had a screen that is bigger than the Galaxy Note's Screen (he had it before even the GS2 was out). It actually looked like a tablet and not a phone. I can still remember thinking how stupid he looked using a phone that was bigger than his head (almost literally)

ADDITIONAL 2: The screen size may not have been above 5.3" (G Note), but the total size was bigger. The only thing I remember about what phone it was, is that I had never heard of it before, which is why I can't remember.

I bought the white iPad (3rd gen.) and the white bezel makes a nice contrast with the screen giving you the illusion that the black levels in the lcd are much deeper than they really are. Almost seems like the blacks on an LED tv.

On a black iPhone/iPad you're contrasting with the darker bezel with the lighter black lcd which makes black in the lcd seem washed out.

Every. Freaking. Year.

Who cares?

what do you expect on a MAC/APPLE forum near a launch date?

I've never understood why some people think the color of your phone equates to your sexual orientation. My first iPhone was black, my current one is white. I've liked them both, and they both look professional. I don't really prefer one color over the other.

Just for the record, guys, I don't know of any woman that looks at a guy and makes guesses about his masculinity or lack thereof based on the color of his phone. I think the whole masculine/feminine thing is mostly guys judging each other based on their own insecurities. And really, if someone is shallow enough to make that judgement, whether that person is male or female, why would you care what their opinion is anyways?

I expect people to pull their heads out of their asses and realize the color of your phone doesn't define sexual orientation, business sense, political views, or anything of the sort.

And I am a white female who owns an iPhone so that makes me a white iPhone owner.

The...the... White iPhone? Where they do that at?
I am a male and white. I own a black iPhone.
Why can't white iPhone owners realize that its ok to have a black iPhone?

LOL. JK.

The poll does indicate that more white iphones are owned by male macrumor members over black iphones thus far, so the poll is not useless.

I read a post some time ago from a member that asked if the white phone was for girls. That irritated me a bit. Just because its white does not mean its for girls. PINK however, in my opinion is a color that many girls would like. Not the male owners. I hope ;)

PS: I like White.

In retrospect, written haste before work, I was a bit strong saying the poll, <-- corrected my earlier spelling error :) was useless.

But it is a bit biased since of course we don't have all the women voting. Nearly every girl or woman I see has a white iPhone. And I see an awful lot of women with iPhones.

That said I am _NOT_ suggesting it's a "girlie" color.

I happen to like the color white a lot. Just not on an iPhone for me. It has nothing to do with the feminine aspect, but rather the fact that Black is one of my favorite colors, especially on a phone I use for business while dressed in a suit and tie.

It's no different than anything else, you should buy the color _YOU_ like :D
