Joining those waiting for any word from OnSale. Not impressed, at this point I do think they deserve to have their rating plummet or even be dropped from Amazon.

It's not the overselling itself, I can forgive that under the circumstances (they were far from alone). I'm also not pressed for time and would be fine if it took a month to arrive. What I'm not fine with is not knowing one way or the other after 48h, especially with my funds still being held.

Hopefully some word will come tomorrow, but I suspect it's not good and had better scope out Best Buy for the next shipment. :(

I hope u realize amazon owns onsale. They brought onsale.com/newegg 10 years ago

I thought OnSale was owned by MacSales (or Mac something, anyway).

MacSales is Other World Computing, I think.

Also, after B&N cancelled my order, I decided to spend my money on buying stuff for my iPad2 instead. In the end, it'll make me happier to have a better equipped iPad than an EOL cast off.

I think I was sorta correct and incorrect at the same time about onsale.com.

Amazon brought the remains of newegg.com/onsale.com after they went through BK. But let the onsale.com domain go amd sold it off to pcmall.

So the domain onsale.com is run by pcmall.

Yes confusing. Like compusa.com and circuitcity.com now being run by tigertirect.

Or blockbuster express kiosk not even being run by blockbuster but some other company.

Newegg is owned by newegg and they're very profitable
OnSale is owned by Mac/PCMall

And despite all the complaints, both will continue to be decent companies despite upsetting the cheapest and most undesirable of computer shoppers. (Sorry if that hurts anyones feelings. I was also burned by OnSale but they really dont need my business since I'm not one to overpay at online retailers. Trust me, these guys will be very happy when this whole thing is over because HP's curveball does nothing for their business or reputation.)

well just got my onsale email stating my order is canceled :( *sigh* wish there is a link people post where you can order it, I wanted to play with one.. (yes, I have 3 ipad 2s and 1 ipad but for that price, why not) lol

Well, I got my cancellation email from Onsale today. 4 days after the order was placed. I decided to check on my dads order from macmall. I called and gave the rep my information and he said there was no record of me ever placing an order. I explained that I had placed my order over the phone and had a confirmation email that I could pull the order number from if that would help. He said any order number I had was irrelevant if he didn't have any record of an order on his end. He was a real dick. He gave me the cust service number and I went back to work planning to call back when I got off. 5 minutes later I got an email saying the warehouse was out of stock by the time my order got there. Neither company has given me my money back after tying it up for days.

I just got mine from HP today. This thing is extremely buggy and slow. I can see why HP wants out of the hardware business.

Google speed up touchpad and read the articles. Over clocking will really help. Mines very snappy now.

HP Keyboard works perfect on iPad. So if you find one for $30 it's well worth it.

I own an original iPad 32GB and didn't jump to the iPad 2 cuz of money and thought what the hell i'll wait it out. Ordered the touchpad from onsale as it went on sale and got mine yesterday without any notice of it shipping aside from "shipping soon". Matter of fact, i got an email a few hours ago telling me it shipped lol.

After updating it, overclocking to 1.5ghz and what not, the thing actually runs really nice. I'm impressed. It's given my old iPad a run for its money as far as daily usage goes. I'll still be using the iPad throughout the school year heavily for my books, notes, and also as my kindle reader, but the touchpad is awesome at home and what not. The web browser is great, music sounds great, and the built in skype is nice too. (if it doesn't work with a mac, make sure that mac is updated to the latest skype).

Overall I'm impressed, and for $100, couldn't be happier really. Until the iPad 3..these 2 will do :)

Cool deal. Tried to get one for myself but couldn't find one. Sold my iPad 1 for $378 on Ebay and just picked up an iPad 2. Definitely runs faster than the iPad 1, but my goal was to use the touchpad until the iPad 3 comes out.

Oh well...kudos to those who were quick enough to get the Touchpad.

I ended up with two 32GB Touchpads. I ordered two and I didn't think they would both get filled. Maybe I'll give one to a family member.

It won't replace my iPad 2, but I am excited to try it out.

This is killing me. Was second to arrive at a Best Buy after seeing inventory in stock overnight per the online tracker. Turned out they only had one. :(

All I want is *one*. While I never had a Pre (couldn't take the form factor/teeny keyboard) I followed WebOS from its unveiling and loved the card UI. Sigh.

eBay is becoming bombarded with them now. I guess a lot of peeps just bought them to make a quick buck.

Palm Eurostore will be updating tomorrow with info on whether they will get any stock.

It's also looking now that the pre3 will become available in a bundle SKU - and probably not on it's own.

after installing preware and uberkernel and clocking it at its natural 1.5gz duo core speed, my touchpad flies. Extremely smooth.

HP downloaded it to 1.2gz duo core. But 1.5gz duo core is natural speed.

maybe if I have time this weekend I will try to overclock it to 1.7gz duo core.

so easy to install prepare and install patches. Literally takes 5 minutes after you read the instructions.

I'm yet to find good instructions. so far the Webosquickinstall hangs up on my computer I was going to try it on my other computer.
